I haven't been very impressed with the first two episodes. Too much fighting scenes, not enough dialogue imo.

It just feels so bad that all the non zombie surviving humans are fighting each other! They should be banding together to take down zombies not each other! 'it seems that humans are doomed no matter what.

Well you could say that all but one human community are working together. It's just one crazy despot who has spoilt everything.

The show is very bitty at the moment, it's hard to keep the stories straight some times. For some reason I always get Aaron and Jesus mixed up so I was having a hard time last night seeing who was where and what they were doing.

I'm wondering if the surprise guest on talking dead next week might be Gabe , after all he was locked up with Negan

I too haven't been loving this season very much, and bad guy or not, this show is boring without JDM

I disagree. I think they need to lay this groundwork with each faction doing their part for the greater victory (hopefully).

Haven't seen the preview yet but I have a lot of questions for next week that need to be answered!

I was going to say I enjoyed this show for many years without JDM and I'll enjoy it when he's gone! That said I hate myself for it but I the character is such a good baddie. And I shouldn't find him fun at times but I do.

wishful thinking...

I'm kind of hoping that Gabe decides to sacrifice himself to end Negan....he could find a way to cut his wrists in the dark and bleed out...and then turn and gobble up Negan's face before Negan realizes what's happening.

This last episode was hard to watch. I felt like I was watching a war movie. Plus there are so many characters, I have trouble telling them apart.

And I agree with you, Jasper, as pretty as JDM is, I'll be glad to see him gone. Just so evil! And he killed our Glenn and Abraham!

No no! Don't blame JDM his character Negan didn't kill them off.... blame the writers and creators they had those 2 killed off

I like JDM, I hope he stays around this whole season. Most likely if and when they kill him off, it will be a cliffhanger finale show. Don't forget Morgan built that jail cell ....

I think he won't be killed until episode 16, which of course is April or something, as we have the split seasons. We're stuck with him for now.

The jail cell is interesting though... I thought it was going to be used for the Wolves but it wasn't, so either it was a plot point they dropped or someone is going in it.

I was wondering how the Saviors are going to come to the rescue if they are surrounded by a herd of Zombies. So I guess next weeks episode will be interesting. They looked like they needed to settle in for a bit till something else interests the zombies to leave.

The gang had taken prisoners and it looks like Carols group is there to add even more numbers to Ricks group. Unless they are else where. I was having a hard time figuring where everyone was.

In episode 1, when Daryl and co were working through the list of people to kill that Dwight gave them, well some of those were lookouts for outposts, not just random scouts.

So one of the guys they killed was standing outside an urgent care unit called something like Papian Urgent Care, well that was the front of an outpost, and that's the place that Carol and the Kingdom started attacking. Once they'd cleared there they went through the woods behind it (where the tiger attacked) and next episode are going to whatever building is there.

Jesus, Tara, Morgan and Diane (the woman with the crossbow) went for a different outpost - the one they tried to clear out last season at a radio telescope that made Negan come for them - and that's where they killed some and then Jesus took prisoners. When we last saw them they had cleared the place and were walking back.

Rick and Daryl went into another outpost the back way, while Aaron and co were making a fuss at the front (the place where they focused on a female Savior who eventually got her neck bitten). That's the building where Morales was. I think the fight out front is still going on, Daryl's still roaming, and of course Rick got caught.

Maggie and Enid went back to the Hilltop, to protect it. Carl and Michonne are still in Alexandria to protect that, and presumably the Kingdom left people there to keep it safe.

Meanwhile Gabriel and Negan are in a kind of outbuilding outside/inside (but not connected to) the main Savior compound. The Saviors who were in the main compound are presumably holed up in the remaining buildings, or have run out the back. We don't know yet.

This morning I saw the funniest comic:

"Being a zombie is okay but all this walking is wearing me out."

Since this show has started this season it has been nothing but 90% gun battle scenes. Seriously this is getting old

And why making us wait so long to find out what happens to Gabe? Feels a little deja vu from when they made us wait so long see what happened to glen.

Can't say this has been the best season so far. Getting bored, says a lot when I have to ff thru the gun battle scenes

Disappointed so far. 😴😴😴

Bring in more of JDM ..... 🤗

I think it’s been quite exciting to see them putting their plans in to action. There are a lot of things happening that I want to see played out, Gabe and Negan are at the bottom of that list. Right now I want to know what happened with the Kingdom soldiers and will whoever mowed them down feel the wrath of Carol.

I really felt for Aaron, it was a sad demise for Eric.

And as we know Negan is currently incapacitated who is leading the Saviours?

Has Morgan lost the plot?

Will Rick and Daryl have it out? They seem at odds.

Will Gregory ruin Hilltop somehow? And what are they going to do with those people? It has been many a season since I saw someone who really deserved to have their face chewed off and that tall long haired fellow fits the bill. If they imprison them in a trailer they’ll just spend their time trying to figure out how to escape and kill them all. It’s a quandary what to do.

LOL, last night I was complaining to my husband about the battle scenes and he looked at me and said.. You know, when its quiet and normal you are all..this is boring.. we need action!! Go fight! but when they fight you say enough with the fighting can't we have some normal life!

Yeah, poor Eric. I wish they'd made more of a character of him before this week though, he seemed to mostly stay at Alexandria without a clear role.

I think Morgan is back to needing to clear. This time though he seems to know he's at the edge so I hope he gets to pull himself back. My guess is he will stay close but separate, and in one episode someone will need saving and he'll be there.

I very much hope Gregory is just there to provide a little comedy now. They'd be very stupid to trust him with anything.

I can wait to find out about Gabe and Negan... I'm not going to like what I see when it happens, so I'm happy to follow the others for a while.

Now Rick and Daryl... I think Daryl shooting Morales is completely justified, he had a gun at Rick's head and wasn't saying nice things, the only safe option was to kill him. Rick might feel a little regret but I'm sure he understood that one. The second guy though, I think Rick and Daryl need to have a few words but although I think Rick was morally right, Daryl's just protecting everyone, at least as he sees it. Quandry is indeed the word. Every Saviour we've seen has been loyal to Negan, and Negan has enough force that them getting any info could be catastrophic to our guys. There's no way of knowing who is who, and they don't have the people or structures to guard them like POW. I wouldn't know what to do.

Totally agree regarding Morales, I kept waiting for Daryl to materialize. And I can see Daryl’s thought process with protecting everyone. Jesus not wanting to wipe out everyone, as well as Tara wanting to wipe out everyone......

Lostfan, ITA! Im so sick of gunshots

I hated that Daryl shot that guy that surrendered. Who really is the bad guys anymore?

Jesus was on my last nerve.

I knew Daryl would come along and end Morales. So did Rick as well.

How many times has Rick & Daryl worked it that way. More than I can remember when they (Daryl) shot the guy. Rick is just as guilty of taking him out.

Still loving TWD as the story goes along. I could do without the Artsy aspect when they want to acknowledge another director, writer.

I agree with some of you that it's a mistake to take all those Saviors as prisoners. It will consume a lot of their time and resources. Don't forget they have to feed them, too. Do they have endless food stores? And they will never be trustworthy citizens. Should have just shot them.
