Did anybody else notice that the girl from Survivor and Celeb Rehab, Jessica "Sugar" Kiper, has been on Showtimes's "Weeds" a couple times this summer? I guess there's really no way you could miss her if you watched Weeds. She had a pretty big part, and she was nude head to toe on roller skates....LOL You saw everything but her feet.

Rieman, I'm a big fan of both the Inspector Morse and Inspector Lewis mysteries (and pretty much all the Masterpiece Mysteries). So I watched "Endeavor" and liked it a lot. It was fun seeing Morse just starting out and has several references to the Inspector Morse series. John Thaw's daughter, Abigail Thaw, also has a small part, in which, upon meeting the young Morse says "Haven't we met before?". Or something like that. Can't recall the exact words.

Okay, I've been watching the strangest thing I've seen on TV in a long time. It's on the IFC channel and it's called "Bullet in the Face". It's hard to explain exactly what it is...a cop show only with bizarre over the top characters and dialogue I've never heard before. It's only 6 eps (30 minutes each) and it re-airs in it's entirety (all 6 eps) starting at 9am on Sunday, Aug 19. http://www.ifc.com/shows/bullet-in-the-face The Influences Behind Bullet in the Face http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qULfTIVTMm0

Brenda, I missed "Boss" on Starz channel and that show with the disgusting comedian with the last name Ross. I'm drawing a blank on the show name. They are both rerun a zillion times, but I had no idea they were even starting.

(btw, I was being lighthearted that no one warned me about the premieres . I was just being silly. I was just shocked that some shows had started at this weird date. I mean who starts a show in mid August???? )

LOL about the show with the comedian Ross. I caught that one last week only because I saw him on a talk show promoting it. It's in really bad taste, but funny! I agree, August to premiere new shows? And then they'll wonder why no one is watching. It's too early.

I posted a little while back that that if you have comcast for tv and internet, you could watch ESPN live online legitimately from anywhere. And now they have added more live channels. You have to be logged into your primary account, but you can use any wifi connection, not just your home comcast connection. They are thinking of adding support for 3G. They have mobile apps if you need one, but you are hit or miss if you have an android device. (although the app called WatchESPN seems to be working for everyone with any android device for all the ESPN channels. You just have to log in with your primary comcast ID within the app HERE) CNN http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/cnn HLN http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/hln ESPN http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/espn ESPN2 http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/espn2 ESPN3 http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/espn3 ESPNU http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/espnu Disney Channel http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/disneychannel Disney XD http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/disneyxd Disney Junior http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/disneyjunior And if you subscribe to Pac-12 in your tv package, they have that online, too. http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/pac12network I hope they keep adding more live channels. The two news channels and occasionally ESPN are pretty much all I would be watching out of this list.

So I am watching a couple of movies on TV, one with Bruce Willis and the other with Jennifer Aniston. the JA one she is a florist and she tells her assistant to cautherize the cut stems, so is that a true thing, do florists do that to keep the flowers alive longer? TIA.

Found this: Semi-woody stemmed flowers like hydrangeas, clematis, helleborus, poppies etc., exude a sticky sap. The sap pollutes the water and kills the other flowers. The stems need to be cauterized in order to seal in the sap. Immerse the fresh cut stem ends in boiling water for ten seconds, or hold them over a candle flame until the ends are sealed. Water will be absorbed through the cell walls of the stems. Solid woody stems that do not exude sap do not require cauterization. They need to be mashed to maximize water uptake. Link

I saw an advertisement for a show "Winged Planet which premiers Oct 6. It's a documentary of a "bird's eye" view of the world. Cameras attached to various birds as they go about daily life. I can't find the video now, but one of them showed a vulture's view of things as it approaches a lion with it's fresh kill. And of course there were also shots of birds in flight.

I'm looking forward to watching the pilot of Nashville--bit of a Connie Britton fan. Looks good. By the screenwriter of Thelma and Louise. http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/nashville

On October 26, 2012, NBC aired a remake of The Munsters called Mockingbird Lane. Good but a little dark. I was suprised it aired at 8:00pm

I didn't like it. Marilyn, Gpa and Eddy were ok, but Lily and Herman didn't fit.

Did you think it was a little graphic for 8p? Can you imagine what HBO could do with this show

Can we just give The Neighbors their own thread? I enjoy the show so much. Debbie scaring the aliens with her obsessing over the birthday party. The sweet gift Reggie gave Amber. Also the pure joy of Larry bouncing in the bounce house. : )
