Quite the episode, especially with the Mountain Keeper's twist on voting. I think it forced them to do what they should have been doing all along.

Yes and interesting that Dennis wanted to keep her. He is definitely playing the game to get rid of all the strong players and believes that he can make it to the end in time. So last night they said they have done a week and have another week to go.

Yes, that was Day 8 (last night's show) and they made it to the 5th Checkpoint. Per the map I posed there are 9 checkpoints, and the final day is the trip to the summit.
So they have 6 days left to accomplish 5 days worth of travel, if they do one leg per day. It took them 8 days to get thru the first 5 legs.
Since the first day, they have been accomplishing that, but they can only afford to lose one more day.

Yes. I loved Pati's determination and her courage. She kept going no matter how hard it was, or how much pain she was in.
That said, it was understandable to let her go, when forced with that choice.
Plus, I get that they forced/chose Dusty to lead, but he could have slowed down. At the same time, the rest of them didn't demand that he wait, even tho they knew the rules.

Pati was doing herself no favor, she could have ruined her knee for life! And many of us know how bad knees in older age are a Witch!
And she knew she was slow and wasn't going to get any faster until she had her knee looked at. I was wondering if they could call the medics to check it and maybe give her an ace bandage though.
Glad they finally realized that they need to drop the dead weight if they can't pick up the pace.
Dusty did ask a couple of times if they should go on or wait, and they all said go on.

Why would anyone volunteer to lead from here on out if others use it as an excuse to vote you out? The producers interfere way too much. By giving them only two choices, they saved their plant (my theory only) in Dennis. I'm still watching for the scenery and the incredible feat they are accomplishing. I can't believe those verticals they are climbing and what fun to zip line at the end!

I'm still flummoxed that they voted out Robert. He brought a lot more to the table than Dennis or any of the other guys.
When Pati's knee became trapped under that rock, they should have brought in the medics. As much production interference taking place on this show, I'm surprised they didn't bring in the medics. If this was Race to Survive, they would have immediately brought in the medics and evacuated her out of the game.

Then shame on them if they checked on her and didn't remove her from the race. That would never happen on Survivor, Amazing Race or Race to Survive.

Lexie, I think she was in pain, but not injured so badly that she couldn't continue. They also do that in the other series, wrap, brace, etc and let them make their own decision.

I think it is interesting that the Host is sort of directing them to play the game correctly. They really need to pick up the pace and can't do that with injured people.
Even though Dennis is a rat he can move quickly and they each get to keep the money they haul up to the summit so they don't have to eliminate down to just one person.
I can't believe that Jennye still wanted to go forward with such a bad injury. Knowing how hard it is in older age with bad knees it hurts me to see them ignore these injuries.

Dipo, I think part of that is that martial arts discipline that teaches you to ignore pain and continue. Maybe?
Glad they sent her home tho, for her own good.

I was hoping at one point they would show medical cking on her and saying she was ok to continue. Glad she was sent home, like Kar said for her own good. Sucks she wont get the money though.
Im finding this show more boring each week. I will be surprised if it is renewed

they feel the same- go on a rope over a high terrain. I am still enjoying it but not like I enjoy some of the other reality shows
