It's their Season 6, and just a heads up, there was a lot of publicity here when they aired the winner there - - so be very careful of spoilers! (I mean, my DH read the winner to me! lol I think we were watching you tube of a different season, or were watching our PBS, but I remember very clearly different articles popping up)

LOVED this season! I still follow a couple of the contestants on Twitter, even though this season was done quite some time ago in the UK.

BTW, as I was bored, I searched youtube and found The Great Australian Bake Off - and going inside some of those posts I found the entire British Bake off Season 1! I finally saw the ending! Its so different though! Same format, it just seems a bit more simplified - in the Season 1 of Australia - Kerry.... somebody who was the 'mean" looking judge for some of the Food Network Cake Challenges (a few years back) and she did the Save My Bakery shows too - she's a judge!

Glad I remembered this was on last night. Found it when I was channel searching. I don't have any favorites yet.

Mary Berry is a treasure. Even when she probably wanted to spit out the beet cake, she was so nice. I felt bad for the lady whose mousse didn't set. But, again, Paul and Mary found something nice to say about it. The right guy went home last night.

I much prefer this version to the American one. The two co-hosts are funny but can be very comforting to the bakers when they need be. On the American version, Nia Vardalas and her husband-his last name is Gomez were OK and the guy who took Paul's place was OK too.

The first time Paul did the American version, I really enjoyed it. I think the co-host was Bill Engvall and the entire season was very enjoyable. The last American season with Mary as a judge and Nia Vardalas didn't work out well at all but the positive thing is that it made me find the British version which I adore. Unlike other shows, I tend to like all the contestants equally and feel their pain when things go wrong. They all know so much more then I do so I'm constantly learning little tips. But mostly, I become obsessed with looking up recipes for what they had to cook as well as finding information on all the varying tools and machines they use. The first thing I noticed last night is that the standing KitchenAid mixers were gone. What?! I'm now dying to make a walnut cake. Anyone else?

Kappy, I'd like someone to MAKE me a walnut cake. My recipe group on FB is growing and lately I've added at least 10 people from Bramley UK. Now I want to see if I get some good English recipes.

I love this show, too. I've seen the season already, but I'm still watching. This was one of the best seasons!

Teach, my PBS stations are currently airing two seasons -- an old one and new (to me at least) season 6. Others above have said it's a new season. Same where you are? Check your listings.

We're only getting the one (Season 6). I have an automatic record set up on my Tivo, so I don't have to worry about missing them. I've seen all 6 through BBC, though. Which bakers are on the other?

PBS schedule is messed up tonight in the Chicago area. Most of the week it showed two episodes tonight. Something of a last minute change. Only one is airing. TiVo synopsis said episode 3 - bread. It isn't. It's episode 4 - not sure what to call the theme.
