I like to think Alek would have said "let's go" and taken the guy down quickly.

She did not appear to be enjoying doing DWTS so I was wondering if this was a way out for her. There are some rumors floating around that this was her way out.

Pattie LaBelle has a cooking show and Artem and Whoopie are her guests. He's helping her cook. Why didn't he dance this season?

Unfortunately she's sucking up all the energy and it looks like we get to hear all about Kim next week too. And you can be sure she will somehow get to the finale be it by train or car or horse.. I guess any publicity is considered a good thing when you have your own show to flog. As for Alek.. not sure how small that campus is but there seems to be an assumption in the press that he would run toward gunshots and save everyone. And he's gone home.. I'm hoping he doesn't quit the show after this.. I want him to keep dancing! Hoping Lindsay went with him and maybe they can do a fundraiser for the shooting victims or something while they keep practicing.

nypost.com has an article (I got there from AOL.com and my Avast free antivirus considers aol.com to be a dangerous site so it pops up to tell me and then messes with IE functions so I cannot get an actual link to things. Annoying and the free antivirus may soon be toast. I have aol email and guess what, I go to that home page and have for my entire online life. ANYWAY.. the article from Page Six of nypost opines that DWTS is getting back at Kim since she was actually signed up for last season and bailed at the very last minute. They put her on this season but supposedly they had it in for her (and Tony??). Who knows? I gather she was evoking Melissa Rycroft and Amy Purdy who were allowed to use footage from practice. (I'm guessing the practices were done IN California and the injuries happened after practice? in those cases and they were allowed to fly, but who knows). I'd think if producers wanted to get at her that badly they just wouldn't have put her on this season.. also it could be that she would have been the one to go home anyway, though Paula seemed more at risk from judges' scoring.

Derrick Bryson Taylor is the author of the article and it was published on 9/29 if anyone wants to find the actual article.

Wasn't the footage they used from the dress rehearsal and not just a practice session? I don't believe Kim and Tony had an actual dress rehearsal.

Jmm, yes and I think dress rehearsal puts them into the same situation, with an audience and all.

Thanks, Color! This software "protects" me from Aol.com and links sometimes by messing with the abiity to refresh the page and also blocks out the link that normally I'd copy and paste. Annoying.

Andy seems to have some luck with partners..his original partner Peta got hurt, now Allison just announced she's pregnant, but will be OK to go for the rest of the season if needed (she's only 4 months along)

Who here DID NOT cry tonight? I can't remember any dance being that emotional..Alek should use Bindi as an example of what the judges told him..show your emotions no matter what they are.

That was a good show and a very emotional and exceptionally beautiful dance by Bindi and Derek.

I swear I saw Tamar's feet lift off the floor tonight but it was not mentioned by CaryAnn. Was it a dance where that is okay? CaryAnn really got on my nerves tonight because she, at the beginning, said it was not about accurate dance steps but about the emotion then later she said, when judging Alek, that she had to put emotion aside and just judge the dancing. I thought he did a great job tonight and deserved better scores. I cried, not just got teary eyed, but cried when Bindi danced. Thought her dance deserved all 10s. So glad she got Derek as a partner. He seems like a big brother to her.

I am sorry they will be switching partners next week. I think it is a gimmick but can be very dangerous with dancers who are JUST catching up and catching on and then they get another partner. And frankly I don't trust some of them not to consider messing with someone else's partner. It would be hard to prove. But it also can help some of them to get different input. Tamar danced rumba and I don't know what the rules are for rumba in terms of feet. Some of the dances really touched me and Bindi's.. well as Derek said, we all lost her dad so it hit us doubly.. mourning him again and especially seeing Bindi back then and now and knowing what all she lost. And the dance was beautiful..

i think Alek, as a soldier, is trained to not show emotion especially during adversity. so keeping it all in check during stress/trying times is what he is supposed to do. i thought they were all great.

I totally agree with you, Sea, about switching partners. Also I feel it gives an unfair advantage to those with dance backgrounds. It is a twist in the contest that they could do away with in my opinion.

Switching partners is a gimmick. Not a good one at all. I still watch DWTS, but I don't enjoy it as much as I used to.
