Starts very early 2010, probably Friday January 8th. A few things have been released, and there's lots of speculation about the contestants. Davina will be hosting the live show and BBBM, and BBBM will be on twice a week. George is expected to return on BBLB. There WILL be live feeds during the day, but only for a few hours. Then there will be the usual overnight feed. They are using BB2009's house, with a little alteration. Rumoured contestants are: Boy George! - needs no introduction, allegedly this is CONFIRMED Lady Sovereign - a rapper (young, female, troublemaker) I'd never heard of before, allegedly this is also CONFIRMED Paul Danan - ex-actor, ex-reality contestant. I don't know much about him, but again, allegedly CONFIRMED Heidi Fleiss - I think this is also pretty definite as she had to get a Judge to ok her leaving the US, as she's still on probation, and that judgement was leaked Jedward - twin boys John and Edward (guessing 18ish) who were on this year's X-Factor but got eivicted a few weeks ago. Huge fan following so I'm not sure whether they'd spend two weeks away from all the media right now... on the other hand it might be good publicity and would have millions of teenage girls watching the show Alex Reid - he's the fighter that Katie Price (Jordan) is dating after her split from Peter Andre. I think he'd do anything for publicity so, if there was a real offer, would definitely take it Lauren Harries - an antiques expert who became famous for going on Terry Wogan's show as a boy, and had a sex change in 2002 Paul Gascoigne - used to be a very good footballer but became an alcoholic and has been in and out of recovery for years. I don't think even BB would put him in the house in the state he's in, but there have been lots of rumours about it That's all I've found so far that have a lot of talk, rather than just a few "I wish" articles.

That's only a rumoured list, only a few are "confirmed," and those only through "sources" not by Ch4. Lindsay Lohan is also rumoured in various places, although it's another one I don't see happening if BB have any sense. The question is do they? I'm looking forward to it too, it seems like it's been ages since BB, and it's only been a couple of months!

Is there any way to watch this, on the computer? My cable company only has BBC America, which it probably isn't on....

They are really quick to take down youtubes these days, but we normally scramble between ourselves looking for links to either downloads or sites where they stream it. Last year it was a bit tricky but I'm hoping as Celeb BB is a short run that more will host it. I think we'll know more nearer the time.

I'd love George Michael. I agree David Bowie would be good, and I'm pretty excited about Boy George, if that rumour's true. I'm not sure I know who in particular I'd like to see. For me pop stars or tv personalities from the 80s would be good. I just want - if I like their public persona - them to be nice people. It's horrible when someone you think is nice ends up being a bit of a ... menace in the house.

Two new potential Celebs: Richard Bacon - presenter who was sacked from Blue Peter, a long running children's show, for being caught snorting cocaine. Robson Green - tv actor who had a couple of hit records (used to be a bit of a heart throb)

Interesting if they have an old rapper (MC) and a new rapper (Lady Sovereign). They have now confirmed there will be 10 celebs.

I have seen Pamela Anderson's name on several lists. The Sun even says she's going to be paid 250,000 pounds (I don't know how to make the symbol!). Ulrika (winner last CBB) only made 175,000. No way of actually knowing how true that is, but it is interesting...

Ack! I thought this was the American one... this is the British version right? If so, don't think we get it here in Canada.

Yep, British. We don't get it in the US either, we rely on streaming, youtubes or torrents. It's usually worth watching though, if you can find a way to get your fix... Ch4 made it a bit of a challenge last year, deleting every youtube within hours.

Yey! Have you seen how long it will last yet, Sara? It's usually three weeks (I think) but I haven't seen the final date announced yet. I wonder if, with the early start, they're going to stretch it out until the following Friday.

I've only read some posters online who all say it will last 3 weeks, Kitt. It doesn't look like it's been officially released yet.

I'll try to post the pic of the new "eye" for CBB, but here is a brief article of the new slogan and the returning producer from insidebigbrother.net: Exciting new ad campaign begins Channel 4 have revealed the brand new Celebrity Big Brother eye, however, it isn’t like anything we’ve seen since series 1. The eye is now real and the show has adopted a new slogan, ‘Hell Lies in Others’. What could it mean? Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 4 for the final time on 3rd January and apparently has ‘fiery plans in store’ for this year’s batch of celebrities. Shirley Jones, the executive producer of Big Brother 5 has returned to her duties for series seven. She said: “This is no holiday camp for pampered personalities; Celebrity Big Brother won’t be leaving the limelight quietly”. Fans will have high hopes that Shirley Jones will revive the format, Big Brother 5 was branded the best series of all time in the UK among many fans. The show took an ‘evil’ turn after Big Brother 4 failed to please viewers.
