I think Carson and Jack will dance, sing and laugh all the way to the finish line. I would love for it to be Han and Holden but I think their nerves get the best of them with the high stress at the end. I never want to see Jonathan on my tv ever again. I hope someone close to Ana helps her to realize how she deserves to be treated so much better in a relationship.

TAR wants us to hate/dislike Jonathan.
Otherwise they wouldn't show it.
She needs help to get rid of him, and that's being Nice.

I didn't want Jonathan in final three, but at least they came in third.

Wanted Han and Holden to win, but totally ok with the result.

What Csnog said. I finally caught up with missed episodes today. TAR is showing us what passive/aggressive/abusive relationships are, and it is very hard to watch. He is manipulating/controlling her at every turn. So, maybe it is instructive for their viewers?

And then there is the companion show of Survivor where super-hero Joe is breaking down ten years later because he did not manage to save his sister from her abuser who killed her.

I see a sort of social justice thing happening here, and Mark Burnett and his wife Roma Downey, might be trying to do their thing to prevent spousal abuse?

I watched both episodes last night and I couldn't despise Jonathan more. The way he kept telling Ana to be quiet and not talk to him and how he refused to stop for directions in Portugal (if Josiah and Alyssa didn't get lost looking for the marked parking at the train station they would have most likely caught an earlier train and not been eliminated). I can only hope that a family member or close friend encourages her to get out (even though I suspect she won't and will continue to make excuses for his behavior).

I have no problem with the team that won.

So very happy for the winners! It's not often that a team I am rooting for wins! Yay, Jack and Carson!

They enjoyed every task just like The Jesters from many years ago.

Pamy, I've always felt that TAR's second and third place prizes really suck. At least in Survivor they get $100K and $85K for second and third.

I will just note that the 2nd and 3rd place winners on TAR have often won some leg prizes by coming in first... cash or trips. Still, the final cash does seem low.

Right Kar, but did Carson and Jack ever come in first this season? For some reason, I thought when they won the 11th leg, it was their first place all season. I thought it kind of sucked that they didn't win anything for winning the 11th leg while everyone else was winning cash and trips.

I think that you are correct. I remember thinking that also, that they didn't get a prize.

I was just making the point that TAR does offer a lot of other cash and prizes that Survivor does not, and typically it's the top teams that win them, and also finish in the top three.

I also said I thought the top 3 cash prizes should be higher. :-)

According to my notes,Carson and Jack came in first on the April 9 show. They won an Alaskan cruise. They also came in first on the May 7 show, where they won a trip to Helsinki. And they came in second more than once.

I was just coming back to say they had won a couple of legs.

Also, I read that the race was entirely stopped after the speedboat challenge due to a major storm. Didn't see how long it was stopped, but Carson and Jack thought it helped them center and rest, and thus helped them win.

But the second place never won a leg.

The winners also got to fly first class back to the U.S.

I agree, with a million dollar prize, the second and third get short shrift.

Wait!!! Y'all seem to be talking like they already had the finale, but I think the last show was billed as Finale Part One!. I am under the impression that the FINAL Finale is next week? Think about it - they did not have the big challenges at the end, nor the run of the winners with all the other teams there.

Or maybe I am just mixed up, having been home only a week and having been out of the country for five weeks and not watching television, and trying to catch up with at least Amazing Race and Survivor, while not yet fully unpacked.

I thought that was such a good reward. for the winners of the penultimate leg to fly business and be all rested. But yes, they then showed them all in business class!
