That would seem to be correct.

RN I was reading their profile and it says they only take "Crate trained" dogs. I wonder if that means they crate the dogs?

If I was reading that I would assume that they only take crate trained dogs, as they will put them in crates, for at least the night.

I would assume "crate trained dogs" mean the dogs would sleep in their owner-owned crates overnight, BUT I do not currently have any dogs.

Some of our dogs slept in crates and ate in them.. That way there was no food stealing. But they had plenty of couch time and yard time and training time and when we had the chance, swimming time.

But what those people mean...

RN Wow! That is great Naja. Hope that makes life easier for you. No more renting out rooms?

RN the first thing I did was make a HUGE credit card payment, and since I haven't been able to do it for so long, I gave a little donation to the rescue where I got my Dolly. Next month I'll give some to the rescue I got my Patsy.

Good news, Naja!

Donations are great. but if you can get credit cards paid, just not accruing interest will give you such relief and more donation money..

RN It was a shock! I had to look several times before it sunk in! LOL

This is my 4th. Babysitting 4 dogs, plus my 2. 3 are afraid of fireworks. One is on tranquilizers. It was almost impossible getting them together for a picture.

Yay Naja!!! So happy.

Those poor doggies do look distressed, well, except for Patsy who may be asleep?

It is July 4 here, and fireworks are going off like crazy. Oh, I bet it is the city fireworks down at the marina, which we used to be able to see from our house on the steep freaking hill, with the steep freaking driveway. I would always go sit on the front porch in hopes of being able to coax any lost and terrified doggies into my house rather than into the woods across the street or onto the steep street where cars sped along. I got one big dog one 4th, and he seemed to respond to me calling him doggie, and he had a tag, so he only had to wait a short while until I called his owners. Turns out his name was Dougie. He could understand my bad accent!

RN Juju, absolutely nothing phases Patsy.

RN I slept on the couch and every time a dog got scared, they came to me for some love, and they would go lay back down. It wasn't bad at all. No one was shaking or scared enough to turn down treats. LOL

eta: HAHA, Doggie=Dougie........ I've seen that's how people name adult dogs they have adopted when they don't know their original names. Just keep saying words and see which one their face lights up to.

RN, I had my son's 2 dogs and my 2 for the last 2 nights, and had to endure neighborhood fireworks both nights.

My Rocky is the worst, shaking, drooling... he's gotten better over the last year or so as I've worked with him, but last night was too much.

Son's dogs - one kept barking at the fireworks, the other kept asking him what was wrong.

My lab - bombproof.

I went thru 2 bags of treats, broken into small pieces, given at every boom. Long night!

RN Well, the fireworks are starting again. Since it's Saturday and they are legal here, I'm sure they'll be as bad as last night. I loved fireworks before I started taking care of dogs that are scared of them.

RN I forgot to say I replaced the pools that Grey tore apart. I got a regular round tiny one, and this big one that's in the photo. Maybe it's big enough to keep Grey happy next time he's here.

Naja, happy to have a bigger pool to dismantle? I know you will watch him and that pool looks like a good shape and size for big dogs to cool off...

My cat did pretty well. I stayed here with her, with tv going. But it really got loud! I could have walked a short distance and seen some displays, but really not fair to leave her. At our own home, different city, it is less loud..

This year we had no furbabies to help get through the annual war zone of illegal booming firecrackers and fireworks. It started at 6pm, got its craziest around 8-10pm and finally stopped at midnight. An illegal bomb went off across our alley and I actually screamed for my life! It scared me greatly. If I had a bull horn, I would have gone out there and yelled to STOP and some other choice words.

I am getting a puppy in 2 weeks or so I'll need to look into how to keep our doggie from being scared to death next 4th of July.
