I did that for over 10 years, but the pandemic stopped the rides and when they started again, they had good safety precautions in place but not all patients wanted to just mask in the car and a new app was wonky and most requested rides were not doable, so I haven't been driving people. But I did and really loved doing it. There is almost no place I drive that doesn't bring up a memory of someone I drove..

You are providing a real service. The dogs are lucky that their people bring them there and they are lucky to have you in their lives.

RN Thanks! I learned my lesson. Get twice as much paint as you think you'll need

Looks good Naja!

Have Patsy and Dolly checked out the new toys?

My cat would ignore the toys and sit in the hamper..

Fantastic job, Naja! Did you use spray paint or apply it with a brush? I always wonder how people do it without making a huge mess like I would.

RN Kappy, I sprayed it. I had saved the giant plastic sheets my new mattress came in last year, and they worked great as tarps.

What a great idea for repurposing that plastic, Naja! Thank you for the answer as I was picturing using plastic but wondering if you had used a tarp or something else.

I do love repurposing things .. and my cat helps to repurpose boxes and large sheets of paper.. lots of play in the paper until it wears out.

RN, I also think Dollartree sells rather large plastic tarps.

RN I went to start my dryer this morning, and it wouldn't turn on. I made appts with two places who want $100 and $120 just to come out and look at it.

So I typed the symptoms into the google machine, found this youtube video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02EG27Jgoi0

Sure enough, I pried the dial off and it had hairline cracks inside just like in the video. So I am praying the $7.99 replacement dial fixes it. I think it will because I used the pliers to turn the dial, and I was able to turn on the dryer.

We'll know tomorrow when the new dial gets here. I better go cancel those appts until I see if I fixed it.

Couple years ago my fridge stopped working. I was pretty sure it was done. Called a repair guy I'd called once before. He came. Checked a few things. Declared it dead. I was surprised -- no charge.

RN The way they explained it, if I chose them to fix it, then the charge would go toward the bill of fixing it. If I didn't choose them to fix it, they kept the money for service call.

RN I was checking my tenant leads on the housing websites, and OMG!!!! NTB has new ads looking for a room dated yesterday! I wonder if she already got kicked out of her new place.

eta: I wish I could warn people anonymously, but I can't.

Oh my, Naja! You were extraordinarily patient and forgiving with her, so I'm not surprised that she didn't last long in the next home.
