Stormy??? Supposed to get rain early, 80% chance, haven't seen any yet, LOL. It is gray and there is a good breeze and temps are going up to 69.

Oh now it's called lite rain, and it looks like it is in Marin and east, not down here.

WOW, it really is raining, about 6 drops per minute but steady, LOL. The streets are getting wet so that should screw up drivers being the first "rain".

Showers and scattered thunderstorms will develop Sunday and last into the evening. Brief heavy rain and lightning will be the main threats. #cawx

Challenging forecast next four days. Oh yeah, it will be noticeably cooler/colder along with blustery conditions but we've already seen a few systems over-achieve on rainfall and that's my concern.

Rain should remain northward tomorrow. Should. Close call.

BREAKING: Hurricane Otis strengthened to a Category 4 hurricane as it approached Mexico’s southern Pacific coast, where it is forecast to make landfall near the resort of Acapulco early Wednesday — possibly as a catastrophic Category 5 storm.

Otis became a category 5 last night. It hit Alcapulco.

The weatherman just said he hasn't seen any day time pictures yet of the damage done. He is in a complete panic of what it might be like there, because it's a metropolitan area and they didn't have any time to prepare.

He says the airport is probably destroyed and they need to start sending boats in with relief, and air dropping supplies.

Wow, he said no computers or weatherman predicted this. That there weren't even any storm chasers went down there, because nobody knew it was going to happen.

Any pictures you see on TV now, were during the night, and are from hotels that are made out of concrete. He's calling this a humanitarian crises.

There's no wifi, no power, no food, no reporters. The roads may be under mudslides.

He said the airport is close to the ocean, 6 to 8 feet high, and the storm surge was probably 10 to 20 feet.

Last hurricane that hit there was a category 2, had ample warning, and 200 people died. This was a 5 with only 12 hours warning.

The president of Mexico doesn't even know what's going on.

This is going to be bad. :-(

Grooch it really is bad!! They are reporting that it has weakened but they are still trying to figure out all the impact.

And there are still 2 more storms in the pacific headed towards Mexico.

So far the weather channel hasn't got any photos.

I must have heard about Acapulco right after it happened, and the report was that it was a totally unexpected Cat 5, and there had been ZERO communications, meaning all power was out. I kept expecting to see headlines today, but didn't.

I am in the lowlands next to the coast of the northern Cascades snow watch. We won't get snow here, but it is going to start getting below freezing in the coming days. We depart for South Texas on Halloween.

I am no a proponent of gloom and doom, BUT it does seem to me that the number of natural disasters is increasing! I am thankul that I have movedto a self-contained "world" where I can wach the weather out of a window, haveclimate control at the touch of a button, live in a large solidbrick building with activities all day long if I choose, and have an in-house library!,

Downright cold in San Antonio this morning. Officially at the airport it’s 39F and 43F on our patio. Now for some folks here that’s not bad but for here it’s close to a record low for this time of year. Yesterday it was 82F so quite a change. If the forecast holds for the next day or so we will have the second coldest Halloween night in recorded history. I suspect because of the weather and it being a school night we won’t have many trick or treaters. As it is this community is 20+/- years old and the majority of young families who moved in then have aged out after what seemed like a baby a month for the first three or four years. Very little turnover in houses here with many still the original owners from 20 years ago.
