Thanks, Dipo. Those BC and WA wildfires are within a couple hundred miles of me, causing me to send e-mails and make Facebook posts letting friends know that other friends are in danger. I do not know where Medical Lake, WA is, and hope I also do not know in the morning. We got a warning here in Bellingham, WA, a few hours ago that the Canadian wildfire smoke would soon be coming our way tomorrow.

Medical lake is near Spokane. But fires over the Canadian border seem closer to you Juju.
Here there is a huge swath of Southern California, including all of Orange County under flood watch. Along the coast they are creating sand berms and people are filling sandbags.
I think I will get some groceries tomorrow, as Sunday and Monday are predicted to be quite wet.

The smoke is also headed to Oregon. Portland should get it by later today based on wind conditions. I did not realize how many fires were still burning in Canada. So very sad.

Down to category 1 now, but still is said to be a tropial storm when it hits here (if it does.. as storms sometimes defy predictions).
I have heard what sounds like thunder but I don't think much of anything has hit us yet in northern coastal Orange County.
