Finally, the wind has died down and the rain has stopped but not without some major isssues.

Glass came down off the BofA building in San Francisco, a double big rig blew over on the Richmond Bridge, closed it from 9.45 to 5.45; a man luckily survived when he drove over a downed power line and then tried to move it off his tire - got a big shock and there were so many trees down all over it was amazing.

In So California we had a beautiful day on Monday! Sunny, no rain. Lucky for me, as I had a doctor appointment, then stocked up on groceries.

Yesterday it rained all day and that has continued today.

California’s 11th atmospheric river left the storm-soaked state with flooded roadways, landslides and toppled trees. It also brought drought-busting rainfall that means the end of water restrictions for nearly 7 million residents.

Wonderful day up here on the west coast of Washington, looking at Canada across the water. We went to a birding festival in Blaine, WA. It was glorious and sunny and lots of waterfowl and lots of harbor seals in the water.

Rain came in overnight. This morning it is hazy and gray out, with intermittent showers throughout the day.

Currently it is 51 going up to 59, guess the heatwave is over for a bit.

And a small craft advisory for the bay!

This washed ashore on the Main Beach yesterday morning, the best theory is that it came down the Salinas River and floated over to us

The one silver lining in our current pattern is the time between systems. Not a continuous parade like we saw earlier in the year.

Rain TUE into WED then it looks like a break THU into SUN.
Another system though is on track a week from today.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office issued evacuation orders for two neighborhoods in Manteca and Lathrop. Many folks saw no reason to leave since this is an expected event every five to seven years. But with the melting snowpack, a new threat looms.

Rain, Rain and more rain ... it has been coming down most of the night and morning. Apparently the rain's friend, WIND, will be joining later this afternoon.

Temps are chilly at 47 and only going up to 51.

We have flood advisory and wind advisory warnings.

An incredible display of atmospheric power is on display in NorCal as the Fujiwhara Effect occurs slingshotting mesovortices onto the coast.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have just been issued for Monterrey and Santa Cruz for destructive winds up to 80 mph.

Apparently they changed the name of the "Pineapple Express" to Atmospheric River, LOL.

And now we have the Fujuwhara Effect, hahahahaha, to figure out as well.
