I did look at his site, currently I have 100% coverage (i've passed my deductible), but I know next year when i go on medicare I'm going to be in trouble.

Just a note: he ONLY carries generic drugs, as far as I can tell.

Plus, you can't transfer prescriptions. You need a brand new subscription sent straight to them from your medical provider.

Pamy - he is transparent that everything has a 15% markup but when you compare that to the 100-500% markup that Big Pharm charges, you can see the difference!

New Q: Is Julie Andrews voicing someone in the New Minion movie? I keep thinking I hear her when they show a commercial.

Regarding the Mark Cuban drug site, does anyone see insulin in there?? Specifically Lantus? I don’t think so and what a bummer that is.

Julieboo, I don't see it. Keep in mind that the Cuban site only sells generic medicines. There are no generic forms of insulin currently. :-(

I got a call from a polling company this week. It sounds like Oregon will have a ballot measure in November that will work to cap prescription drug prices in the state… specifically, insulin. It’s being put by a group of medical professionals. I can’t seem to find specifics on the measure, but the polling questions made it clear that we would probably see one on the ballot.

I'm not an expert on the subject but I think Canadian laws and availability regarding abortion are similar to what you would experience in any liberal Democratic State like California, for example.

As it is usually political, any ongoing discussion about abortion should take place in the N & V area. For example, there has been some discussion recently in the Women's Rights thread. Thanks. :-)

I finally took the first step to switching over to Mark Cuban's drug site. I downloaded the form from this page (the big blue button on the left), filled out my part, and emailed the whole .pdf to my Doc.

https://costplusdrugs.com/contact-your-doctor/

It may be awhile since my 90 day prescriptions were recently filled, but I'll let you know how it goes.

Sometimes you buy something that you are so happy with that you want to share. How nice it is not to have big ugly corded surge protector in this one spot in the living room where I can't hide it.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R6S1M1K

I like the wall surge protector so much I am getting another for behind the computer deck in the rec room. Yikes, the price went up $3 since last week. Oh well.

LOL, I know what you mean Naja. When I moved to this new place I got all new extention cords and surge protectors.

I think I got one like that!

Kinda related what irks me -- electric items that have (need?) wall warts. Want to plug something with a wall wart into a two socket outlet. Can use only one socket.

Naja, thank you SO much. Just before coming to TVCH tonight, I cursed out the previous owner of our house who did a LOT of remodeling, and he was SO proud of not having ANY above-the desktop outlets in what is now my office. And so I am looking at a virtual rat's nest of cords underneath the built-in desk in my office. I curse him daily, since I am now old enough that I cannot conveniently get down on the floor and rearrange those plugs underneath the cut-out in the built-in desk. I might be able to make this work.

This explains "wall wart" or simply "wart". Link

Tntitan, it's just an oversized plug that covers up adjacent plugs in your outlet. Those big black box plugs.

Tntitanfan, link opens for me.

Karuuna, sometimes bigger plug is necessary. I hate those things. You lose a socket. I'm in an older building. Not enough for these days.

I sure hope you have standard sized outlet plates, Seamonkey! I'm not sure how well they would fit if you don't. It will completely cover and be flush against the wall with standard outlet plates, as well as be stable without having to use the screw.

eta: you can't see it in the picture, but it has and extra plastic peg sticking out the back that will go into the ground hole of the adjacent plug to help stabilize it.

I wanted to show you how the back is indented for the size of a standard outlet plate for it to lie flat on the wall.

Colord, as annoying as they are, I have short (8 inches long) extensions, that allow you to plug in those annoying black boxes and not block spaces.
