We got a new lg capacity air fryer & we tried it out for the 1st time yest & I am having left overs from that for lunch: breaded fish filet, eggroll, breaded moz. cheese sticks, poppers, & the curly fries aren't good reheated in the microwave, so not going to eat those.

Texasdeb, does the air fryer work well?

What brand did you buy?

Today's cookout meal consists of BBQ spare ribs, corn on the cob, spring pasta salad, and watermelon. Yum!

I just put the ribs in the grill. They are on a rack on cookie sheets. They are cooked at such a low heat that they take 3 hours to cook.

Happy Labor Day!

I went to Totopo, Mexican restaurant for lunch.

I was alone, so I told the hostess 'One'.

She looked confused. I said "One' again and she said 'Maybe in the back."

I said 'One' again and she said "He may be in the back'.

I laughed and said o-n-e. I guess a Juan works there.

Then when I finished eating, I practiced my Spanish and said "La cuenta, por favor". The waiter nodded and left.

A few minutes later another waiter brings out a bowl of chips and a bowl of dip. He set them on my table. I said 'I have eaten, they aren't mine.'

They didn't belong to the other diner in the room.

I was trying to think how I could have made 'la cuenta' sound like an order.

Well, finely the bill came.

I never did get to meet Juan.

This is breakfast not lunch, but I made some really good microwave oatmeal this morning.

I have a lot of home-made cranberry sauce left over from Thanksgiving.

I put some in my oatmeal this morning and it was delicious.

I had the best little surprise in my lunch today. When I cut open my avocado, the pit was only the size of a grape! Yes! :-)

LOL, that's what I thought I was having... roast beef and cheese sandwich. I thought the meat looked a little redder than normal when I made my sandwich, and then it seemed really salty!

.....It was pastrami and I don't really care for pastrami, LOL.

I am eating the most delicious avocado toast. Avocado on bakery rye, with a smudge of mayo and lightly salted.

I put a Marie Calendar's pot pie in the microwave for lunch. The instructions say 8 1/2 to 10 minutes. So I put it in for the lesser and it caught on fire.
