It's the kind of weather forecast that stands out in the middle of winter, even in sunny California: Downtown Los Angeles is expected to hit a high of 90 degrees this week, the National Weather Service said.
"We're looking at a range of temperatures between 85 and 90 degrees between Wednesday and Friday," said David Sweet, a meteorologist with the weather service.
"Typically, the high temperature in downtown Los Angeles would be 68 at this time of year. I would say it's unusual."

Wednesday the highest temperature in the U.S was 92 at two locations in Orange County, CA: Disnayland and John Wayne Airport.
Then very early on Thursday the winds kicked up and we were in a wind advisory for the next 16 hours.
And the fire in Emerald Bay/North Laguna was scary, also in Orange County.
It will be hot for the Super Bowl and then supposedly by Tuesday we may get a small amount of rain and the high will be 63.
In Whittier there was a water tank very close to those homes where the helicopters could fill up, so that was fortunate. (not in OC but close).

It's a little chilly today, there is a good breeze which might be why it feels colder, skies are bright but cloudy looking. I did hear on the news that the sun would be out later today and it was going to be cooler.
Temps only going up to 60 !! Wow, that is a drop from yesterday.
