RN Dolly wasn't even slightly scared the first time she saw snow. Maybe it's because her big sister Candy went first. Here she is a few minutes later. She's a happy girl!

RN We're home now and Candy is gone. I can't stop crying. She had cancer all over inside, liver, spleen. She had a 106 fever and was pretty much out of it. She was having fun with the puppy just a couple days ago. I can't believe this happened. Both of my dogs gone in 3 weeks. My heart is broken over Candy. There was never a better dog.

Well, hell, now I am probably gonna cry all night too. I could see the lead-in to this post on New Messages, and it didn't look good. I am so, so sorry for your loss. What a shock to lose both of your good old girls within weeks of each other. Pretty sure Dolly will help you through the sorrow.

RN Thank you so much, everyone. My outlook is better this morning, but my heart is still aching. I'm sorry for making the RN thread so sad, but I share so much about about my pets in this thread that it seems the place to share when they pass.
And for sure Dolly is helping brighten a sad time. She so loving and silly. This morning she learned to give me her paw. So she's been walking up to me raising her paw even when I don't ask. I'm guessing that now she thinks it's the signal for "Give me a puppy treat".

Naja, I'm so glad you have Dolly there. I know it doesn't ease all the pain, but I know it does soften it (from personal experience). I lost so many four legged critters in the last several years, one after another. And my cats just 3 months apart. It just rips your heart.
