Black or white, again depending on her current decor.

Now I am leaning toward the black. Thanks for the input!

Also, consider what else she has in the room. If a certain kind of frame fits the room it might work for her rather than the black.

I like the black and the gold. And, again, the choice could differ depending on what else is in the room.

Well, talked to Mom this morning, and she said she likes the frame to match the feeling/mood/look of the painting. And here is what I think matches all of that.

It's a bunch of tropical birds in the wild, so what would match that better than bamboo? Plus, she's in Florida.

Whew! Got that out of the way. Thanks everyone for the input.

Oh, the cockatoo bird on the far left looks just like her bird, Petri.

Yes, that is it! I almost worked in a frame shop years ago. Could have bought the shop. Not into framing enough to own it.

What an interesting exercise - I noticed that as you changed out the frames my eyes were drawn to a different bird - with the white frame I automatically looked at the white bird, with the black frame I looked at the blue bird, and with the gold frame I looked at the peach-colored bird. I'm glad you found a frame that your mother liked!

Oh Mom has no idea about what the frame is or the picture in it. Her only input was telling me how to pick the frame.

And I didn't even SEE the smallest birds in the original frame, and they suddenly appeared when Naja got the "right" frame. Weird.

Help! I live in a condo bldg with common washers & dryers. Village water main break while I was doing laundry. Fixed. White sheets are not so white now -- rust, rust spots. I'm running wash machines empty to get rust out of pipes. Will run again with sheets, etc. with full wash with Method detergent and rinse cycles.

Will that take rust out of sheets, etc.? Or what do I do?

Probably not. Personally, I would replace sheets. Buy new ones.

Here's a link how yo do it. It mentions lemon juice or vinegar.

I use vinegar to get rust off of tools and such all the time.

Good luck!

I put half cup of vinegar in rinse water for all loads all the time. It's looking like rust is gone from sheets. I hope. Will know for sure after I take them out of dryer. Other things have gone downhill -- including one of the wash machines now not working not related to rust. Can't wait for this day to be over.

I want to settle down to SURVIVOR!

For various reasons after initial wash & rinse when sheets got rusty, sheets went through two more washes & rinses. Then into dryer. Sheets are white again.

Got to sit down and watch Survivor.
