I met Burt Reynolds once in a video store in the 90s before he did “Boogie Nights.” He was by himself and no one seemed to notice him. I said, “I just want to thank you for many hours of entertainment.” He smiled so big and shook my hand and said, “You made my day. Thank you.”

After suffering a cardiac arrest, #BurtReynolds has died at 82. From the gridiron of Tallahassee to the silver screen of Hollywood, he broke tackles, and hearts. He earned iconic status for films like Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, and Boogie Nights https://cnn.it/2wOzGjA

Just a few weeks ago I rewatched Smokey And The Bandit since I saw it in the theater years ago. I laughed my head off. It's such a fun movie and wouldn't have been the same with a different actor. Reynolds was so good at what he did best...comedy

I saw that on the news last night. I know my youngest son will be very sad because he's always been a huge Giants fan.

Stan Lee, comic book author and one of Sheldon's most favorite "friends" , has died at the age of 95.

I was so shocked to see this come over my newsfeed. I'll never forget when I walked over to Trader Joes and there was a line down the sidewalk, around the corner and all the way down the walkway to Chipolte... Stan Lee was going to be at the comic store. Kids were dressed up and there were people lined up for a long time.

THREAD FOR STAN LEE.
Stan Lee gave us more than co-creations X-Men, Iron Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four & Spider-Man. He gave us creeds to live by. Principles to emulate. Villains (and racism) to fight. He gave me vital cornerstones of my belief system. My sense of responsibility.

Stan Lee changed the face of comic books and movies forever, from "Iron Man" to "Black Panther" and beyond. Rest in peace: http://bit.ly/2OFTJ9U

Ya Stan Lee seemed to be someone who really enjoyed life. He was a lot of fun at conventions and nice to his fans (who lined up for hours to meet him). He was still very active in his 90’s. I always enjoyed his cameos in the movies as well. He did change the face of comic books and movies.

I had set 20/20 to record and they switched it to covering George and Barbara. What a marriage!
