I have always read For Better or For Worse. I am pretty sure she is just recycling the strip from the beginning. She let the characters age, although I don't think they aged in actual real time, but Farley eventually died, as dogs do, and I remember crying my eyes out. And now that she is recycling, I will have Farley's death to go through all over again.

They did at in time and then for a time they had some old strips and some new, when she was diagnosed with something that impaired her ability to draw.

Some of the repeats were modified to be more pc.. Like a scene where Slot threw something at John.

And after her parents died she opened up about her very abusive mom, abusive first husband who left when their son was born and Lynn was not a good mom to her son.

Her second husband was much better, though they are now divorced.

On the website she did write the future for all the characters.

The death of Farley caused much public consternation, but Mike's friend being gay was huge back then.

Farley had a noble heroic death. Tough to see in a comic though.

Although I liked it best when the kids were relatively young, I liked the way she had the characters grow and the way she challenged social conventions.

I haven't seen FBorFW for such a long time. You reminded me how good it is. I just revisted Farley's story. It's so sad.

I am thinking cartoons and not Disney movies so I would say Marvin the Martian.

As a little girl, I always liked watching Mighty Mouse, so I guess he's my favorite cartoon character.

New Question

What’s your favorite candy? (now, or when you were a kid, or both)

I’m not a huge fan of candy but I do like Whoppers (malted milk balls) & I wouldn’t refuse an Almond Joy.

I guess they’re not truly candy but when I was a kid I loved waxed lips & Pixy Stix.

Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt.

As a kid, I liked Hershey bars and they were big. Only available in folder months due to heat.

Personally we would buy those sheets of paper with dots of candy..

I have to choose ONE?

Snickers. Or Hershey's Milk Chocolate drops. Or milk chocolate almond joy. Or mini peanut butter cups. Or Whoppers....

Never mind. Clearly I don't have a favorite.

"Original Gourmet" lollipops. I enjoy almost all of the flavors, but my favorite right now is the cotton candy flavor.

Don't eat much candy, but this question reminded me I just bought a bag of Australian licorice that I have not opened yet. I wonder where Bigdog put it? Or if he ate it all already?

My favorite candy might be something like Sweetarts.

Sweet tarts, or smarties.
