I lived with my grandparents until I was 9. My grandfather worked for Stornetta Dairy out of Sonoma (we lived not far away). Every morning after they were done milking cows he would bring the big steel can home of fresh warm milk. I have pictures of me at about 2 feeding the cows hay.

I was raised with cows in OK! Been around them all my life & that's probably why I won't eat them!

First day I came home from being born as my dad & mom had cows and sheep on our farm. (Dogs and cats as well, of course.) We didn't get our first ponies until I was 5, but that we because we had to be big enough to take care of them! :-)

Cows were all around. My grandparents had some so probably when I was a baby.

Probably as an infant as grandparents lived on a farm. First memory is around age four, maybe late three.

LOL, Jmm, this is actually what the ole dawg meant: https://www.babycenter.com/0_baby-sensory-development-sight_6508.bc Wasn't sure how long before a baby could see distances or out a car window.

I had only seen cows from a distance until I went to veterinary school.

I soon learned how to milk a cow, do a rectal exam and do an autopsy.

Do you use an exercise tracker like Fitbit?

Yes. Both Mrs Mack and I do. We used to use Jawbone trackers but between issues with their bands and laziness on our part we stopped. Jawbone apparently is bankrupt and being liquidated. We got over our laziness and back to working out. Wearing the Fitbits is a constant reminder and it works for us.

I use my Fitbit all the time. It's fun to see how many steps a day I've done and I find it quite the incentive (though my DD totally outdoes me in the summer).

No, we just have old school pedometers. Well, not the REAL old school ones; ours are Omni-directional, LOL. It is "good enough", and we don't yet have our smart phones tethered to us at all times, considering we only got our first ever smart phones 9 months ago and barely know how to use them. However, we have already upgraded to iPhones, so small progress is being made daily. But I digress. As usual.

Yes, I started with a FitBit One in 2012, then got a Force when it came out. Sold the One for $20.

The Force was recalled, but I had no problems.

When the Charge HR came out, I got that.

When the Charge 2 came out I got that and sold my Charge HR for $50.

At Curves quite a few of the women have various models..

I would be wearing a watch anyway and this thing does much more and encourages me to do more.. Now if it would emit a piercing shriek when I approach a bad food item, it would be perfect!

I have super tiny wrists, so the fact that they make a small size works for me.

Love the "piercing shriek" idea Seamonkey! We do use our Fitbits to do a lot more than track steps. Right now we're being very dedicated to recording all our food intake and that always is revealing.....maybe too revealing as we like some less than healthy stuff.

I've had a Fitbit One for two plus years now...use it every day. I love it! It's kept me off the couch and on the move

Those last stubborn pounds are long gone!

New question:

Can you now, or have you at any time in your past, been able to do a proper cartwheel?

(By proper I mean straight legs, straight over.)
