I just loaded up the crock pot with a pot roast and all the fixin's for lunch tomorrow (and dinner). The smell of it cooking always keeps the dogs up all night

So instead of making egg salad I just put a slice of onion on some mayo'd bread and then sliced the egg onto it.
I may regret it because that onion was Strong!! but it sure was tasty.

So my experimental, make ahead, sort pre-done Thanksgiving dinner is great! I am really pleased with how it worked out, and no big mess in the kitchen.
Since I am not getting together with family until Saturday, I just picked up a cooked turkey breast at Trader Joes, made my own stuffing and potatoes a couple of days ago, did the green beans this morning and used a package that I doctored up for turkey. Oh and I love the canned jellied cranberry sauce.

Texas, years ago, met dh's cousin. She from New Zealand. She would cut an avocado in half, put worchester sauce where the pit used to be and eat it with a spoon.
We tried it, yummy....very filling (even just eating 1/2). Sometimes we will use soy sauce.
ETA I know worchester is the wrong spelling..I just like my spelling of the word.
Also, to stay on topic, I had a small portion of antipasto salad.

I just made a foot long submarine sandwich with salami, ham, provolone, red onion, tomato, lettuce, and pickles, that DH and I will split for lunch. It's actually too big for just lunch, so maybe it's dinner, too.

I just made a little tub of ham salad sandwich spread that will be lunch for the next couple days in the form of ham salad sandwiches.
My ham sandwich spread came come from trial and error while trying to copy the grocery store brand.
Put in your food processor-
2 LBS sliced ham
1 bunch scallion onions including the green
1/2 cup sweet relish
After you process those ingredients into teeny tiny bits (before it gets liquefied), fold in mayo by hand to taste.

I went to Denny's with a friend.
I had their new hamburger with bacon, sauce, fried egg (you can choose how you want the egg) and hash browns on a bun.
Yum. I halve the other half saved for dinner.
