It sounds like you might have AeroSnap on? Try this:

Go to Control Panel.

Click on Ease of Access link or Ease of Access Center icon.

Select Change how your mouse works or Make the mouse easier to use option.

Tick the check box for Prevent Windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen with the mouse under “Make it easier to manage windows” section.

And once you get that turned off, here's a helpful tutorial on resizing windows:

Open Control Panel by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Search), entering Control Panel in the search box, and then tapping or clicking Control Panel.

I just hit the enlarge box and yea! I am back to the non-full screen.

When I hit f11 all I got was a vertical blue line and I thought it hadn't done anything. I guess it did.

Thank you both so much.

You're welcome, Dogdoc. It's so easy for me, I just say, "Oh, Honey" and get an answer. LOL

How in the heck do I access my gmail? when I got my android phone it made me get a gmail account, and I wanted to use my laptop to access it.

Do I have to use chrome or can I use ie?

On chrome when I click on gmail it asks me to pick a gmail address and tells me the one I have is already taken. Yes it is, taken my me, LOL.

This is very frustrating considering how easy it is to access my Comcast account from everywhere.

Just go here and then log in with your Email address. It works in any browser.

Ok, never mind, I finally got in on IE, but I may never get into it on chrome, LOL.

I recently bought a replacement A/C adaptor for my laptap, late July. The past month or so, it often shows it is not connected. I can wiggle it and it usually comes back on. I bought another one last week. It does not seem as heavy duty as the last one, has two-prong plug-in. The older one has the three-prong plug-in. Tried it and it doesn't seem to want to connect at all. It only did it twice. Plugged the older one back it. It is still intermittent. So I've now come to the conclusion that it is a loose connection in the laptop itself. There's really nothing one can do about that is there? Other than buy another laptop? Which I can't afford.

Before you buy a new one, call a computer repair company and see what they think it would cost to repair it. My computer guys are really great and tell me when it is going to be more to fix than just update to the newest level of computer.

Heckagirl, Google it and see if maybe you could do it yourself. I bet there are multiple Youtubes on how to do it.

Enter something like replace faulty power jack on laptop as your search terms.

I did google it earlier today. Looks too complicated for me. I heard anything from $79-$160 to pay to get it fixed. The computer only cost $200 when it was new. The plug has been working about 80% of the time, so not in a big hurry.

Yeah, it looked too complicated for me too, but I thought I would mention it in case you know a person handy with a soldering iron.

I assumed that you tried different plugs when trying to make it work. Where I used to live, some of my plugs were 'looser' than others and did not work all the time.

My ISP is AT&T U-verse. Bad customer service. (Problem with my land line bill recently.) Not long ago heard Google Fiber is probably coming to Chicago area. Anyone have it? Experiences with it -- tech-wise and customer service?

Got my new MacBook Pro today. It's faster! Now I just have to get HP printer working with new OS X. Call AppleCare.

I tried to contact the Moderator because I want to know if the newest Amazing Race and newest Survivor can be put under Featured Topics on the home page.

I have contacted moderators before but this time it is asking me to sign up for Microsoft Outlook. I was supposed to follow some steps but I am not sure if I want to do that. I already have Outlook for e-mails.
