I seriously doubt if the Patriots are being bothered anyway unless they are pulling the fire alarm right in the hotel. Those top hotels are pretty well soundproofed. Outside noises would be minimum. Play a little music and you would hear nothing.

On a lighter note - I do not follow American football at all, but I did know Seattle made it to the playoffs this year, and I did attend a Super Bowl party last year, where Bigdog and I (we live in WA state, spend winters in South Texas) bet a polite $5 each on Seattle to win, even though they did not stand a chance of winning. And then some other Winter Texans decided they would also back the Seahawks, so we made our own game shirts at our house the afternoon of the Super Bowl, bought cheap white t-shirts at Walmart, printed out a #12 and a Seahawks logo from the internet and colored them in with paint pens. Wore those to a Super Bowl party, and six of us were REAL happy.

This year, the minute the Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl, I went to eBay and bought a couple iron-on Seahawks patches. And then I found a gorgeous iron-on rhinestone transfer and bought that. So both logos arrived in time, and today I took them, along with a couple blank colored shirts, to the local t-shirt shop (we are just overflowing with t-shirt shops in this beach tourist town.), and the girl had to consult with the manager to see if it would be okay if they put our logos on our shirts (and paid them for doing it), and it was okay for $2 each, LOL. Both turned out really well. If I forget to post the (shirt) results, somebody nag me in my folder Monday.

I love football, but I cannot stand either team. As I have told people at work, they are both in my bottom 3 NFL teams. This is probably the first Super Bowl that I really don't care who wins.

I just want it to be an exciting, super-close, nail-biting, blood-pressure-raising, 'thrilla in Manila' classic. Last year's blowout was so disappointing (as all blowouts usually are).

I like both teams, to be honest. I love the swag of the Seahawks and the Pats are like the Yankees: you can hate them, but it doesn't really do you any good. Plus: Tom and Gronk!

Both teams are headed by renowned cheaters so that's a wash.

I don't really follow any sports closely, and don't love or hate any team, but being in Pats nation, I hope they win and that it's not a close, nail-biter! Would like to see Brady get one more Super Bowl win under his belt.
New reports on talk radio today were disputing the whole "Deflatgate" thing saying only one ball was 2 lbs under pressure. Of course, that probably won't be mentioned on national tv today.

Agree with Jimmer - both songs at the beginning were very good.

I also enjoyed seeing Lindsay Lohan make fun of herself in a commercial. I don't care for football so I'm watching only for commercials.

Speaking of commercials, I can't imagine how much they paid Matt Damon to appear in one for Nationwide. And Julia Roberts was doing the voiceover.

Oh shit, I missed Idina doing the SSB. Love Missi Eliot, love Lenny Kravitz, hated the halftime show from front to back.

The "Always" commercial ~ run like a girl/fight like a girl ~ was done very well. Bravo to the company!

I'm not a Katy Perry fan but I thought it was a good half time show especially with adding in Eliot and Kravitz. I'm usually bored by the halftime shows but thought this one must have been great to see in person.

I wonder if Russell Wilson will give God credit for that interception in the same way he did for that touchdown pass two weeks ago against Green Bay?

I loved the half time show. The "Always" commercial was very good. Definitely my favorite (though Bud always does well with the dog and horses - who doesn't love a cute puppy and horses :-)).

After the 'lost puppy gets sold when it gets home' commercial by godaddy that ended up getting pulled, the Bud commercial with the horses finding the puppy was just that much better!

Esurance had two good commercials - the one with Lindsay Lohan telling a young kid she was "sorta" his mom followed by Bryan Cranston once again playing Walter as a "sorta" pharmicist. I liked both of them.

The crowd I watched the game with cracked up at the car commercial where the guy lost his Viagra pill and it bounced all over town and ended up landing in the gas tank of the car.

But my favorite of course was the lost puppy and horses one. Who is not a sucker for puppies and horses. Budweiser really does the best commercials every SB.

Maybe it's because I'm old, but I was a bit distressed by having Mr. Chapin (who died in a car crash at a very young age) have his song used in a commercial with race cars.

Just me?

I need to watch the commercials again and I don't remember the race car commercial, Karuuna.

On TV today some talk about Nationwide's commercial. I remember that one about accidents and protecting children. they showed a bathtub with water overflowing for one example.

Rosie, it was the one with Harry Chapin singing (in the background) Cats in the Cradle, as the little boy grows up with his dad being gone a lot (racing cars apparently).

I don't even remember what it was for, because the race cars immmediately made me recall how Chapin died. I was a big fan, he was one of the few people I saw in concert. I was quite broken up when he died.
