I loved (well, still love all these years later) that book and have my fingers crossed for the movie! I wasn't sure when I heard they were making a film version.

I finally saw Wall-E today. Not bad :-)

It was my first redbox rental. Anyone else use that service?

What is "redbox" rental? I've never heard of it. I'm a Netflix gal.

It's basically a big red machine that allows you to rent and return dvds for $1(until 9pm next evening-then it's $1 each extra day-dvds are yours after 25 days) plus tax. There are 2 in town that I know of.

Oh, the McDonald's redbox. I wondered what you were talking about as well. Are they in other locations, besides McD's?

We have one at our Walgreen's. I just haven't really checked into it.

I've seen them in a few places here. I know my daughter and sister use them. I've seen it in our Raley's and Luckys grocery stores.

I watched "Hamlet 2" yesterday. I enjoyed it..a little offbeat but fun. I really liked Steve Coogan when he was in "24 Hour Party People" a few years too.

It looks like Anthony Hopkins has agreed to make another Hannibal Lector movie.

Watched "Burn After Reading" tonight. I thought Brad Pitt's character was pretty funny.

Netflix has so changed over the past couple years for the much better. I've had no problems, just good experiences. I saw a couple of documentary movies on Amazon that Netflix didn't offer? I easily called Netflix. (Calling didn't used to be easy.) Was told that movie rights owners simply do not want the movie available for rental. Usually that means a higher selling price. The movies I was interested in were higher priced.

I have the two-at-a-time unlimited plan. I get one movie a week. They get my return movie on Monday and send out the new one the same day. That means I get new releases on the day of release. I always have until this week. I guess it can happen (high demand - Netflix has few of the particular disk). I called (again easily) about it. Yesterday I got an e-mail from Netflix -- they put that disk in the mail to me. Third disk when I'm on two-at-a-time plan.

I love Netflix !!!

I love Netflix, too! And I also like that when a disk is damaged, I can report it online and another disk is sent immediately, without waiting for me to return the damaged one.

Plus, with the "Watch Now" feature, my son who's away at college can watch movies when he wants to as well.

I tried watching it on a plane, Ketchup. After 15 minutes of constant arguing I couldn't bear it anymore. I want to try it again under different circumstances.

Yes, loved DiCaprio in R Road. Very raw. Sad and Frustrating. The neighbor's crazy son provided much needed comic relief!

I think I'll have to try this movie. I think I have avoided it because the name of it gave me the impression it was about something else.

I do not usually see movies that have previews like Transformers because they just aren't my type of movies. I didn't like the preview at all and figured I would not like the movie...so...I was very very surprised not only to find myself watching it, but enjoying it!

I don't like the previews for the second Transformers movie, but, I will probably watch it and probably like it!

It's funny about Revolutionary Road, I have heard from everyone who has seen it what a great movie it is, but it sounds boring and depressing to me. I know others who have thought the same thing but saw it anyway and think it's one of the great movies. Someday I probably will see it.

I love the idea of Netflix, but I cancelled it because I just wasn't using it. In a few years, when I have more time, maybe I will join again.

I just saw the movie Kate and Leopold on tv over the wkend. I really enjoyed it! Hard to believe that Leopold is Wolverine!

Tomorrow night at 8 o'clock Eastern TCM will be airing The Wizard of Oz and following that will be a new special, 1939: Hollywood's Greatest Year. TCM will also be airing some of the great films from that year throughout the month.

Took my little daycare girl (I'm lucky with only one child this summer) to see Ice Age 3. I could have waited to see it on TV but she enjoyed it.

Is anybody here very familiar with the 70s movie "American Graffiti"?

I was wondering if you could tell me if the actress Candy Clark's role was a large role or just a small side role? IMDB says her character's name was "Debbie Dunham".
