Watched another good one over the weekend. You've seen the lead actress in a lot of things. Notably "Homeland" and "Girls" and "Sneaky Pete".
The Dark and the Wicked (2020)
It's about a bedridden dying man on a farm, and his adult son and daughter come home to help their mom. But there is something dark and evil taking over their dad, and soon will be after them as well.

I want to recommend a 3 movie franchise that I enjoyed a lot.
Tales from the Hood (1995)
Tales from the Hood 2 (2018)
Tales from the Hood 3 (2020)
They are all horror/comedy anthology films, and they all have an African American focus. I would say light on the comedy.
The first one:
A funeral director tells four strange tales of horror with an African American focus to three drug dealers he traps in his place of business.

I caught bits of a strange old movie, The Honeymoon Killers. It seemed rather slow moving but to be fair I didn't see much but what I did see was odd.

I didn't realize it until now, but "The Conjuring 3 " is on HBO-Max (June 4), so I won't have to rent it. I thought it was rental. Maybe it will be both.

I planned my whole Saturday night around the new Conjuring movie, and I was so ticked off. The movie was listed right there in HBO-Max with the "play now" button all day, but when I got my snacks and beverage all set and sat down to watch, all it did was act like it was loading and wouldn't play. I tried every 15 mins or so all night. Nothing until about 11 PM! Yeah, I stayed up and watched. It was really good! I didn't realize, but the actor from "Fringe" who played the crazy Dr. Walter Bishop with the cow in his laboratory was in this.
I had 3 or 4 good screams and I scared the daylights out of my dogs. You'd think they be used to it by now.
In this one the Warren's have to break a curse, rather than exorcise a demon.

I can't believe my favorite horror movie franchise is having yet another sequel and I didn't find out until today! Yay!
Halloween Kills (2021)
It appears to take place right where the 2018 movie left off. They left off where Laurie and Family trapped Michael Meyers in the basement and set the house on fire. And this one starts at the fire. Release date is Oct 15, and of course Jamie Lee Curtis is back again. Love her!

If I hadn't seen every single one of the movies on their list, I might have tried it. Some of those I've seen 20 or more times over the years and I don't think I'd have much of a scared reaction to them anymore.

OMG, last night I watched the best scary movie in ages! The kicker is, it's one of the best dramas (maybe best) I've seen lately as well.
Last Night on Soho (2021)
It's about young and innocent woman who is obsessed with the 1960s and travels to London to study to be a fashion designer. She rents a room in an old house from an old lady and somehow find herself slipping into dreams of actually being in the 1960's. But the 1960s aren't all she had pictured them to be.
It's a most incredible must see. Especially if you enjoy 1960s pop music.

Jimmer, I ordered a used Nintendo Switch game off eBay for $19 so that I can at least play the new Switch from my brother when it gets here (Tracking says by 10pm tonight). I want the new Super Mario World 3D that was just released, but I have to wait until a few bills are paid off.
Anyway, you'll see why I'm using this thread to show you which game I got off eBay. hahaha (I really did!)

I found this scary movie so interesting!
It's done in one long take, start to finish. I can't even imagine how hard that must be.
Those Who Walk Away (2022)
It's about a sweet guy who meets a girl with an app, and she takes him to a haunted house. The date turn into a horrible nightmare.
