Well, I'm not going to knock a Castiel (thank heavens they're not making him goofy anymore) episode but I gotta admit this last show didn't really make things that much clearer to me. What concerns me is I'm not sure the writers are all that clear on what's going on either! But I'm an eternal optimist and so can't help hoping things will come together. I have some idea of where they may be going but wonder how well it will all turn out. The series has always reached for things dramatically that may be a bit out of its creative grasp but at least it tries. And if it hasn't quite matched Buffy/Angel or the X-Files at their best when it comes to the profound & provocative, it's shown that it's at least their equal in mixing humor with horror, fear, and sadness and having characters the audience really likes.

I had to get caught up on the last two episodes. Just watched the Castiel episode and the one where Dean named the creatures "Jefferson Starships". That was hilarious. "Because they're horrible and hard to kill."

Well, just as the last few seasons, this season was NOT THE FINAL SEASON, as was expected. Next season has already been planned, apparently, and Misha Collins will no longer be a "regular"...he will be in the season premiere, but not much beyond it...Look forward to season 7...maybe they'll go long enough to catch SG-1 for the longest running sci-fi series...

Why no more Misha Collins? Is it due to budget cuts?

I hadn't heard Misha Collins wasn't coming back. I'll miss him, although I don't care for the direction they took his character in the finale. The finale was really underwhelming for me, they just never built up much excitement. Last year's was much better.

just read an article saying that Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters (Cordelia and Spike from Buffy) will make an appearance this season on Supernatural

So, what does everyone think about the season premiere??? A Leviathan is now in charge of Castiel's body??

Cas as God was kinda cool, I gotta admit...

Last night's episode was good. Castiel is the the star of the show, they just can't stop giving him major air time! But it seems he won't be back as often :-(

Still really like this show and think it coulda been more of a cash cow for CW than they let it be. Two strong male leads are hard to find on TV series. Will miss it when it's gone. Although I wasn't a fan of the "torture porn" trend of last season.

Cas was very good as God, and then he went into 'crazy evil' quite nicely too.
I didnt like how they made us think Castiel was ok and then not! Seeing Crowley was fun, and Death was quite fascinating too.
And the car was fixed---got to love that car!

I liked last night's episode, too. I know it sounds strange, but I was glad to see Lucifer back. I like the actor that plays him. I hope they'll get back into hunting some things other than angels and demons this season, I've missed that aspect of the show. I do always enjoy it when Death shows up, though. Maybe we'll see more of him, too.

I'm so mad that this week is Cas's last episode, well so far. So disappointed, I love Misha.

I will say this first episode, except the hunting urban legends, was very much like old seasons. I enjoyed it a lot. I really hope the rest of the season is like that.

Well from the amount of episodes that they've done, he isn't in them. I guess there's still a chance for this season since they haven't finished filming, but it sounds like it.

I didn't know it was his last episode. Misha was excellent going from Cas to the evil things inside Cas, so I would think he has to come back to reek havoc on everyone. I hope he'll be back. Anyway, I liked this episode, I was surprised at the very end, I can't imagine how Sam and Dean are going to stop them, or whatever evil it is. I'm looking forward to the season, it looks really good.

Okay really if that's how Misha goes out, I'm so pissed at Supernatural.

This still looks like an amazing season. Cannot wait.

Just an old raincoat? Thats all we have left of Castiel?
It was good to see the sheriff back from a season or two ago and Bobby saving her! Too bad his house burned--did it say how it happened?
I cant look at that satan guy without thinking of the part he played in Lost!

leaving it wide open for Castiel character to do bits n pieces in future episodes.

remember, he's an Angel/ vessel. It will probably be explained as a projection of image and he cant be touched or something.

i think this STUPID side issue of Lucifer tormenting Sam with illusions and stuff very confusing.

Its NOT fun to watch. Hopefully it will end soon

I do agree, Sun. I do not think the side issue of Lucifer tormenting Sam is needed, but I understand why it's there. He's been put back together and he has to face what happened down there.

I'll be pissed if it turns out like a Dallas thing and this is all in Sam's head.

I can't believe Castiel is gone, I hope that he will come back, we didn't see a body, so he still might.

I'm not sure about this season, I don't want it to go on and on about the evil things. But, they don't seem to be stoppable, so it will be interesting to see how Sam and Dean finally end them.

I agree about Jacob satan in Sam's head, that is just weird, I guess it's supposed to be, lol. But it looked like Sam got a grip on it, so hopefully he won't revert after the bump on his head.

I still like this series, only time will tell how things pan out this season.

I was really shocked when Dean killed that woman his brother had protected! And in front of her child! I guess I didnt think he could be that ruthless.

This was a great episode, harking back to the old days of Supernatural. No gods and devils, just a personal story of Dean and a creature he had a soft spot for from his youth. Also echos of Kill Bill Vol. 1 in the final scene. Dean's lucky that little dude didn't rip his brain out. :/ Definitely some moral ambiguity in this episode. Also really like that actress--from Firefly.
