Big hug for Mamabatsy, really sorry you've been so ill.
I took it the same way, it was all Callie's near death/semi-conscious idea of what was happening around her. The only part I didn't think fit was when they were showing lots of them making out... didn't seem appropriate considering someone was near death.

I had no preconceived notions and, for the most part, really liked this episode. I thought the songs made sense.
What really bothered me though, was how emotional I felt afterward. Like put thru the wringer. This was a very emotional episode (and not knowing if Calleigh or the baby would live). I think the singing helped distract from the emotional aspects.
And dang, but Sara can sing!! I know she's won a Tony, and she totally proved why last night!

Costa, I only just now had time to watch and your right...Sara voice is beautiful and I will admit, I was in tears befor the first commercial....Im just emotional though so it could have just been me....But I enjoyed the show.....

Thank you Kitt. It's been a long haul and I'm still working on recuperating.
Perhaps the proximity of Callie's journey was so close to mine is why I accepted the whole thing. But I will watch this episode again. It is now one of my favorites of my many favorite Grey's.

FYI, they needed a neonatology specialist (premie babies), not a peds attending (usually anything starting with full term infants and older).
Haven't watched the show in over two years so some of the characters were new to me. Absolutely NO preconceived notions. I totally got that this was all in Callie's head. That is was HER episode (and fully expected it to be her swan song/i.e. last show for the actress) so I was surprised she lived (especially considering the head trauma alone). Now she should have serious rehab issues and that's Emmy material!

So surprised so many of you liked this musical episode. Hated it. Didn't add anything to the story for me. I hate when they play music over dialog anyway.....this show does it alot.
I would absolutely quit watching if this became the norm for Grey's.

I'm thinking this won't become the norm, but I did like to see the cast members doing something that they obviously did so well...and Calleigh's voice is simply amazing.

I read that the ratings were good and got better as the hour went on.. and then Private Practice didn't hold onto that audience. So they may well do it again sometime.

I haven't watched the show in years and I watched this episode. So they got me to watch it.
I didn't think it was all that bad, but then again Grey's has already done a lot of nonsensical stuff over the years anyway so this was just another example of it.
(LOL - Talk about a lukewarm endorsement.)

Nobody watched? So much to discuss! So happy they didn't make us wait to find out what happened with baby Sophia, so happy that the jerky pediatrician is turning out to be more likeable and competent (although he is being a jerk to April), think Arizona, despite her initial reluctance, is going to turn out to be an amazing mother...and totally understood Callie's panic attack at the thought of taking the baby home in a car. It made me cry (much to my daughter's amusement) because I remember being terrified when I was pregnant and also when I used to drive after she was born because I didn't want any other cars to come near me or my baby!
And then there's that whole Meredith/Adele thing...I know it is ethically wrong and probably will cause Meredith a lot of problems at some point in the future, but I can't fault her on that one. Richard is really the only father figure in her life, and despite what went on with Ellis and Richard Adele has almost always been kind to Meredith. If you could do something to try and improve her quality of life wouldn't you?
My heart broke a little for Teddy's husband (but I like looking at that guy that she was with so I can't be too sad...LOL!)

I agree with all you said too, Roxip. I was also ver touched by Alex and his joy when the kids arrived and everything was good. I know he started out on the wrong foot for the wrong reasons but he sure made up for it.

I totally forgot my very favorite scene of all, which was classic vintage Grey's Anatomy...when they all pulled together to sneak Callie over to the NICU window so that she could at least see her baby...having Avery do a diversion to Dr. Bailey...it reminded me of the days when they always pulled together for one another despite the consequences...Denny and Izzy for instance...and reminded me of how close they have all become over the years, and how they have finally incorporated the Mercy Westers into the equation (not to mention Lexie).
And then there was the scene where they were all riding on the gurney while Callie pushed them...comic counterpoint (well, up until she collapsed).

The postit note that was on the Chief's shirt made me cry. My MIL had Alzheimers, so this is tough to watch.

I hate to admit this, but...I dozed off a bit during Grey's last night. What did Meredith do that might cause her a lot of problems...did she sneak into that locked room and make sure Adele didn't get the placebo drug, but the real thing??? That is the impression I get, but I didn't actually see it...
