See, they've all had major health issues. The chief's was more of a treatment thing. Two died! At the same time! I still love, love, love this show...but another person in the hospital? Seriously!

This is probably going to be a pretty unpopular opinion, but I see a shark in the water and Shonda has strapped on her skis and donned her leather jacket. Are you kidding me?!!??! A musical episode? This is not Glee! This is Grey's Anatomy. I can't believe they're going in this direction. If I want cutesy musical numbers in a medical show, I'll catch a rerun of Scrubs.

I wish they'd send Addison to the Off The Map clinic where she gets eaten by a crocodile.

Addison is that character that keeps returning and returning..

Chicago Hope had a musical episode.. hallucinations.. that was pretty strange.. this sounds a bit more integrated I suppose.

As long as it is done appropriately it could be a good episode...and as long as it is isolated. I guess maybe the writers get bored and want to try something different.

Wasn't there another drama that did this? (Obviously besides Chicago Hope which I never watched anyway.) I seem to remember something but it hasn't surfaced yet in the chasm that is my brain...LOL!

The Buffy musical episode started this trend.

I'm setting myself up to be annoyed with this episode. I hope it doesn't meet my expectation.

I SO hate when shows do musical episodes! I don't watch Glee for that reason.

I'm setting myself up to be amazed by it...hope it does meet my expectation (and I hope that the baby doesn't die...I hate it when babies die!).

Is it wrong that I am hoping the baby dies? Not that I would ever want a baby to die in real life, but...it is just a show and I'm really sick of the whole Callie-Arizona-Mark triangle. It was cute at first, but...it is wearing thin for me and without the baby the three of them will no longer be tied so strongly together. That would be okay by me!

I just hate to see babies die. I can see where you are coming from, storyline wise, plus that would create drama because then Arizona would have "killed" Mark and Callie's baby, but a baby killed for storyline purposes...just not my thing.

Carmen, I'm with you. I too hate seeing babies die. But I really hate that storyline. I tend to zip through it when it doesn't seem like it's going to affect the outcome of the episode. Arizona could go away forever and it wouldn't bug me one bit.

Callie and Bailey have strong Broadway backgrounds. I am looking forward to it.
I do get suprised that we will believe singing witches and cats on the stage, but if a tv character sings we get all upset.
