Thanks Jimmer... I should have thought of looking for last year's Grammy thread... Well now that I think about it the year before LOL

So I guess I'm officially an old fart? I had just gotten used to the occasional grasping of the nether parts by musical artists during a performance. But now I just witnessed one where the hand remained latched on there, for there for most of the performance LOL Oh and they saved this for the regular Grammys on TV...

Not a BTS fan or demographic, but they had an entertaining performance.

Wow, the musical tribute In Memoriam, blending different songs sung by different artists... was spectacular!

I thought that I'd resurrect this thread for tonight's show. Might be fun.

The duet of Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs was just magic. Luke Combs was probably the happiest guy in the room singing with her.

Glad that other singers than Taylor Swift are winning major categories. Miley Cyrus was great. She looks so different than in the past. Glad she won for Flowers. That’s a really good song.

Billie sang the song better than the recording tonight.

I’m not a Billie Eilish fan at all. Her music always seems the same to me. Slow and melodic. But, I do like the song she is nominated for..

The in memorium section was a bit disjointed.

I read on Twitter that he punched someone out in the audience that was recorded.

Ouch. Stupid move on a night he should have been celebrating.

I agree about the in memorium section. That played off weird.

Loved Luke and Tracy. Her joy in having the audience go crazy for her, made me cry. His joy in singing with her, made me cry. We need more younger artists bringing but older artists and giving them a new audience.

I cried with Joni. Her first time at the Grammys?! She is the queen!

I cried with Billie singing. I love that song.

I thought Trevor Noah was great.

No comments about all the naked people at the awards? Particularly Doja Cat. But a few others too. I have an internet friend who posts fashions at awards shows with some snark. Everyone enjoys her. Sha said, what? did they invite everyone to come naked? Doja didn't even attempt to cover her areolas.

Funny that all the buzz is about Miley Cyrus, tho.

I personally am not bothered. Be who you are.

I think it was one of the better of the recent awards shows. The host was good and there were some solid performances and memorable moments.

The following is a video of Billie Eilish and Finneas discussing how they wrote and created “What was I Made for”. I found it very interesting. It shows how musically talented they both are and how much thought and effort they put in when doing it.

I liked Dojas gown but I think the areolas were a bit much and I’m no prude. It’d be like a man waltzing down the aisle with part of his scrotum hanging out.

Lakecat, I respectfully disagree. We see male areolas & nips all the time. That women's are sexualized and forbidden for view is a hangover from more patriarchal, sexist times.

I almost never watch award shows but I blipped into this one briefly and the timing was perfect for me.. the whole Joni Mitchell segment. I had her albums back in the day on vinyl.

And on social media have seen some other great moments and some not so great comments.
