The opening monologue had me all teary and then I got teary again with the filmed bit about Christmas even at it's worst, it's the best. I asked my husband why SNL had to make me cry this week!

SNL is back Sept 28! It should be a good premiere because Woody Harrelson and Billy Eilish are hosting together.

I haven't watched the whole show yet, but I keep seeing this Joker/ Oscar the Grouch parody on Twitter. It is brilliant! 😂

David Harbour is so good.

Eddie Murphy is hosting tonight and he said on the talk shows that he will be doing a couple of his SNL characters he did in the Early 80s.

The ones I can think of are Gumby, Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood, Buckwheat, James Brown, Stevie Wonder...

It really was a good show! I couldn't believe how much I laughed.

I was cracking up at all the amazon packages piled up in Mr. Robinsons house, LMAO.

Every skit worked and the laughs were plentiful. Gumby terrorizing Colin Jost and Michael Che on Weekend Update was my favorite, with Velvet Jones hawking his “Ho” books on “Black Jeopardy” a close second. 😂😂😂

I haven’t watched SNL in years because of their partisan politics, but for the most part it was comedy that everyone could enjoy,it was nice to be re live my youth with this episode. I liked Lizzo too. I kept hearing about her but had not heard her music.

To my surprise, SNL is on tomorrow. They are calling it "Saturday Night Live at Home". I can't even imagine what they could be doing. The only thing it says online is that it's “remotely produced content” and that it “practices social distancing.”

Just the other day I was thinking that Seinfeld would be the perfect show to make a comeback based on social distancing. They could all be skyping each other. After all, it was a show about nothing.

Sounds like SNL is going to do something similar. Can't wait to watch it.

Jimmy Fallon is doing a terrific job with his show from home. I think SNL will adapt pretty easily but it sure will look different. The group sketches will be especially challenging.

I'm not really enjoying the night time talk shows while they are doing them at home. Bill Maher and John Oliver are also doing shows from home and I can't wait until things are back to normal.

As far as SNL goes, I can see them doing Weekend Update, but I just can't picture what the rest of the show will look like since SNL isn't a talk show. Should be interesting.

I agree but I appreciate that they tried.
Just like the regular show some were funny some weren't. I laughed out loud a couple of times.
