I'm having a ball with Scandal. I'm only in the second season but I understand it gets pretty bad towards the end of the series.

It does go downhill eventually (like many series do) but itโ€™s a fun ride early on.

My daughter and I are watching the short series that just came out on Netflix Canada, The Typewriter. It looks like it is filmed in India and has a creepy-ness. It is about ghosts/supernatural. Fun summer show.

I am also watching Seinfeld Coffee Talk and Orange is the New Black new seasons.

I'm enjoying the short British show SAFE.

Sanfran, you are right about that. In the very first scene it was very Cockney.

I finished Orange is the New Black season 7. I think they did a really good job bringing this show to a conclusion. I love that they tackled Ice and immigration. I cried like a baby for the last episode. It feels good when a series ends well. Nothing earth shattering, just well done.

Does OITNB have a lot of foul language?

Probably. I don't really notice, but it's set inside prison so I think a safe bet to say yes.

Yes Ophilila as well as compromising situations. Just don't watch with kids around otherwise a good show.

We've been watching The Typewriter on Netflix. It's supposed to be a scary ghost story set in India. The child actors are all adorable (and pretty good little actors), and there are a few jump scares, but not all that scary yet--just mildly creepy. The only thing I find annoying is that the closed captioning (which we're using due to the heavy Indian accents, so we don't miss anything important) varies quite a bit from what they're actually saying. I find it distracting, but hubby says he doesn't mind it. It's only 5 episodes, so it's a fun little show.

Weโ€™ve been watching Years and Years on Crave. Very powerful. I believe it was written by Russel T Davies (Doctor Who, Queer as a Folk etc) and stars Rory Kinnear, Russell Tovey, Jessica Hynes, Ruth Madeley and Anne Reid and Emma Thompson. The 6 episodes follows a family through 15 years of global political unrest starting about 2018.}

I agree with Brenda 1966 that the series finale of Orange is the New Black was well done. It was good to see some of the original cast, who have been absent from the show for the last season or two, show up so that we know how they ended up or where they are.

Some of the episodes in this last season were heart wrenching - the ICE and immigration episode especially. The episodes showing the transition for those who were newly-released were eye-opening as well. I had no idea that they have to pay for their own montoring during parole, especially given that most will make nothing more then minimum wage.

Hope you enjoy it, Marameko. We're still making jokes and talking about The Typewriter. It was a fun little, lightweight show.

Boberg, thank you! Loved Mindhuner, especially Jonathan Groff - the best acting he's ever done.
