I liked The Neighborhood better than Happy Together, too.

Season 4 of "Channel Zero" starts Oct 26 on SYFY.

This season is titled "Channel Zero: The Dream Door". Here's the trailer. It looks pretty creepy!

CAMPING on HBO began this week. It stars Jennifer Garner, David Tennant, Juliette Lewis and other actors you will recognize. Garner's character is not likeable at all and some of the other characters are completely inappropriate but I think it's going to grow on me. I'm assuming the first episode was mainly to set things up. Be warned that this is definitely NOT a show to watch with the kids!

Some of the early reviews are very critical. They're upset that Jennifer Garner plays an unlikeable character but I say kudos to her for being willing to play it. I agree that so far there are few characters to like but I think they are just getting started.

For those of us with large families who are already dreading the nightmare of the table at Thanksgiving due to the multitude of personalities, it feels good to laugh at some fictional family and social dysfunction. I might even be able to smile at my brother while thinking of the show.

WOW. The first episode of "Tell Me a Story" was sooooo good.

About Tell Me A Story:
Tell Me a Story takes the world's most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern-day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder.

It's in CBS all access.

I’m glad to hear that. The main characters are fun, decent and kind human beings, there’s some humor, lots of action and the scenery is great. Like I said, it’s not award winning drama but there’s so much junk on TV. I hope people give this a chance.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tell Me a Story sounds very different (and I like different). Kind of a nuisance that it’s on CBS access though.
I’ll have to check out Camping too. I love HBO shows.
Tell me a story sounds really good. I have not given in to all access yet. between Spectrum and Netflix I spend a small fortune.
One fun thing in "Tell Me a Story" is trying to spot the different fairy tales in all the plots or sub plots. So far I think I have spotted 3 Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel. I think I saw a hint of Sleeping Beauty, but it may not be. I'll know next week.
It's a serious show, but this fairy tale thing makes it fun.
I gave up on Camping halfway into the 3rd episode. I love all the actors so I wanted this to work but for me it's not. I'll be curious as to how others react to it.
I started Watching Mars on demand and finished the first sesson. It flips between the past, when Nixon opted to support the space shuttle over the goal of reaching Mars then the future on Mars and on earth and the present (Elon Musk and Space Ex).
There are current episodes too.
The new season of Mars is still interesting in the present and dull acting in the future.
So far I like The Enemy Within. I tuned in especially for the actor, Morris Chestnut, I loved him on Rosewood. There are some intense moments and the fight between good and evil and not entirely knowing if the good is really evil keeps me watching.}
American Gods is back!
Returns this Sunday (tomorrow!) on STARZ.
I loved season 1 of this show which ended in June of 2017....about a year and 9 months ago! It was such a long wait I forgot about it until I saw that it was back the other day.
It's about the god Odin returning to America and stirring the pot with the newer modern gods such as the god of Media, Gillian Anderson, and the god of Technology, and a Taxi driver who's also a Jiin, and a really obnoxious Leprechaun named Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schreiber - Porn Stache on "Orange is the New Black"). Ricky Whittle ("The 100") is Odin's assistant Shadow Moon and Kristin Chenoweth as Easter. And of course, Ian McShane as Odin (AKA Wednesday). Lots more great stars...Cloris Leachman, Peter Stormare, Crispin Glover, etc...
So glad this is back!! Yay! Season 2 (8 episodes) starts tomorrow.
Re: American Gods: SFJF, I'm an extra/background player in an episode featuring the young Technology God. I'm in a scene that takes place in NYC Times Square (really filmed in Toronto). If I didn't end up in the cutting room floor, I'm one of many people walking around but I should be hard to miss cuz I'm a fat old lady using a cane hobbling along.
ETA. Ironically I don't get that channel. But a friend will dl it for me. I'd love to know when my episode airs so I can tell him when to look out for it. (He dl'd last season for me, but I could barely get through the first couple of eps. Not my cup of tea.)
