Great British bake off Holiday edition just showed up! It’s Paul and Pru (not Mary Berry, not Mel. Not Susan 😕)

I loved The Christmas Chronicles. Kurt Russell has to be one of my favorite Santas ever!

I liked it, too! :-)

But when Goldie made an appearance at the end, I was a little startled by her face. She still has great legs though!

I thoroughly enjoyed the "Kaminsky Method". Also watched "The Haunting of Hill House" which required me using a synopsis of some episodes which was most helpful. If I am watching a scary movie I just want the type that includes the Butler who is vile and it is raining outside.

Attention all Dolly Parton fans -- "Dumplin'" is a new Netflix movie starring Jennifer Aniston about an ex-beauty pageant contestant who can't let go of the past as well as her teenage daughter. The latter character is obsessed with Ms. Parton, hence the plethora of DP songs in the movie. I wouldn't call it great, but it was very good.

I really enjoyed Dumplin'. Definitely worth 2 hours of your time. And the Dolly Parton music was wonderful.

I read the book Dumplin last week before I watch the movie. It is one of the sweetest books. Loved it. I look forward to the movie.

After reading the recommendations here, I watched Dumplin and agree it was an enjoyable story. Kudos to the younger actresses for the great job they did.

Good series was released on Netflix today -- "The Innocent Man", documentary adaptation of John Grisham's only nonfiction book.

We watched that new Sandra Bullock thriller "Bird Box". I really liked it and it was exciting all the way though, but I though the ending fell a little flat. It's about some kind of strange force showing up all over the earth. And if you look at it, you kill yourself. So anytime anyone steps outside, they have to be blindfolded.

John Malkovich is in it, too.

I did not like Bird Box at all. It was a big waste of Sandra Bullock's talents.

I stopped watching Bird Box about half way through. I did not care for it at all.

I haven’t seen it yet and I’m cautiously avoiding spoilers. What I have heard is that people either like it a lot or don’t like it at all. The number of views though is staggering. It’s a big win for Netflix.

You know how it is with horror movies, Jimmer. It's a genre most people love or hate.

I liked Bird Box. Also enjoyed, Dumplin' and The Christmas Chronicles (I want an elf).

A while back I binged watched Atypical. It's a good show. Happy to hear it was renewed for a third season. Hannah Gadsby's Nanette was fantastic.

I enjoyed Dumplin. I loved Willow dean and Lucy. Thought they were great. When I looked up Aunt Lucy (Hilliary Begley) on Facebook. Shockers !!!! My sons face popped up as a friend on her page. They went to High School together and were friends. Along with country singers Chase Rice and Luke Combs. This was a talented group of kids.
She does stand up at a little community tavern. I am definitely going to see her.

It was nice to see a sweet movies as I had binged watched OITNB and Peaky Blinders. 🤬😈🙈

I hope it's ok for me to make a suggestion. I think it would be so helpful when someone comes to say whether or not they liked a show or movie, to give a few words on what it's about.

Ophilliasgrandma. I am on season two about episode 11 I agree and seems so much more coming.

Naja. I find IMDb.com. Is very helpful to learn about shows and characters and actors. Not being snarky. Just love that site and thought you might also

Lurkin, yes I know. I use IMDB almost every day. But I know I try to give a few words of what a show is about when I bring it up so as not to have to send people off to another site to know what I am talking about. It's just a courtesy I try to do.

I look at IMDB frequently and I think it’s a great resource. I was disappointed when they discontinued their discussion boards though I understand why they did. They were an unmoderated mess.

Of course, no one should feel they have to provide a description. It’s helpful for those who can and want to but I’m sure everyone understands that people have different priorities and may not have the time or energy. It’s all good. :-)
