Did you hear Gervais at the very end when the show had ended and the credits started to roll and the camera zoomed back away from the stage?

He said "Thank you. I'm afraid that's it. We're out of time. From myself and Mel Gibson...Shalom."

Perfect ending!!

Most were predictable winners, but I was surprised Mr. Robot won best tv series and supporting role of Slater won also. I had fun discussing this series on these boards...

What are those weird silver things sticking out of the champagne bottles? Couldn't they afford glassware, LOL?

Dipo, I'm pretty sure those are for pouring without dripping or dribbling.

This is the first time in awhile Julia Louis Dryfus didn't win for Veep.

But wasn't expecting Rachal Bloom to win.

I like Veep. However, Rachel Bloom was hilarious. One of my favorite parts of the show. I love to see someone with that kind of enthusiasm and exuberance.

This is my favorite awards show.

I'll be tuning in after I get about 30 or 40 minutes into the show so I can FF the commercials. Although, from my memory, it's really about an hour's worth of commercials in the show.

Meryl, you just broke my heart all over again. Thank you for sharing your talent and for being so full of grace.

(I can only imagine the idiotic tweets to come, sigh)

What a night! I loved Jimmy's introduction about how this was one place where the popular vote counts.
I was happy the actress who plays Queen Elizabeth 2 won for The Crown, she was brilliant! Also glad The Crown won for show.

Loved Kristin Wigg and Steve Carrell, so funny.

Then Viola's speech presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Meryl Streep had me moved along with the tribute shown of her many many films.

The highlight was how stoic, brave and Gracefully Meryl denounced Trump's presidency by his own shameful actions and how some followed and voted for him anyway.

OH ya and Ryan Goslings acceptance speech thanking his wife and dedicating the award to her brother who died of cancer. It was so sincere and sad, he seems like such a genuine guy.
