The Fall with Gillian Anderson and Line of Duty with Lennie James are also faves of mine, for anyone looking for British police dramas.

Jasper, I'm more into books. So I decided what they sound like and how stuffy they are. LOL

Has anyone watched Billy Bob Thortons show on Amazon? It seemed to get good reviews. I think it's 8 episodes.

I hear you, that can make or break an audio book for me if it is a series or character I've read a lot of. But I always listen to audiobooks in the car

RIssa I've wanted to watch the Fall but I've never heard of the other and I do like Lennie James.

Midsummer is good for a light mystery. And I love Miss Fischer Murder Mysteries. (Aussie) The whole vibe is good.

}I really enjoy Miss Fischer and hope more episodes are coming soon. I thought I read something about another series.

To my surprise, the 2nd episode of American Housewife wasn't bad. I even laughed once or twice.

I agree. Ep 2 of American Housewife was much better than the premiere. :-)

Sometimes I wonder who / what show replaced Oprah in markets other than Chicago? The start of the first season after Oprah left network TV, new show Windy City Live aired. Talk show, etc. It's only gotten better every year. Still same three hosts and occasional co-hosts that it started with. They're great. Very popular. Don't know if it's Chicago only or syndicated nationally?

Colordeagua, I have never heard of that show. I live west of the Rockies.

I kinda doubt that it would be national. It's doing very well filling what was Oprah's hour. Five years later, it is in a different hour. Oprah and Windy City Live in the beginning were at 9:00. Now WCL is on at 1:00.

Is anyone else watching better things. I find the premise a bit confusing, and the show pretty dark, but it seems more real than most TV shows with cluttered rooms and non matching sets of stuff. I guess I hate how so many shows have minimalist spanking clean sets, as if any of us lived that way, I have books out and bills, etc. not everything is put away out of sight. and photos I have taken on the walls. And I tend to not talk down to children or tolerate smart alecks well. Most of my friends do not get along with their mothers like I just assumed everyone did, since my mother and I were always close.

Sadiesmom, I really enjoy "Better Things". But I'm also a Pam Adlon fan to begin with. I don't think it's that dark. But it is pretty funny.

Thank you, I remember that show now. I saw one episode and realized I had just wasted 22 minutes of my life. Not a fan. Perhaps it got better but I have no interest in watching again.

I have really enjoyed these last two episodes of American Housewife. I think the pilot was too focused on her weight but I love this little family.

OMG OMG OMG a revival of Will and Grace is in the works!

Karen! Come back to me!

Also: last night's Blackish was hilarious. I don't think there's a thread for it here, but IMO it's the best sitcom by far on TV right now.

It took me a bit because I wasn't a fan of Tracey Ross ( my feelings are superficial) but I've grown to like it and Tracey is one of my favorites.

Colordeagua, I just saw a clip of your "Windy City Live" on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Because his sidekick Guillermo apparently was a guest today. Guillermo is in Chicago reporting on the Cubs for Jimmy.

I don't know if any of you saw this Will & Grace reunion about the 2016 Election they did last month...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzae4DKexko (9min 37sec)

It was fun to see the gang again.

I also love Blackish. :-)

Naja, yes, I saw all that. Saw him on WCL and full clip of what he did here in Chicago for Jimmy.
