I also liked Pitch but then I am a fan of baseball. I also was surprised by the ending definitely wasn't expecting that.

I really enjoyed Pitch as well, so sad at the end.

Really enjoyed Pitch more then expected. Baseball fan, but also, liked seeing actors I enjoy..even if we only see Michael Beach (father) one episode :-) "Zach" sure had bulked up :-)

I also watched Notorious...wasn't sure if it would be ok but the last 15 minutes got pretty good. Will watch another episode.

Speechless was decent. Could have been better without the crude humor near the beginning. Been 25 years since an actor with a disability actually was in a lead role.

Last Man on Earth season 3 starts this Sunday night, Sept 25, on FOX.

DH and I love this show. It's so silly!

I am missing a bunch of shows! It doesn't seem the networks are advertising. I completely missed Big Brother finale and it has been DVRd. McGuyver? I didn't even know it was being brought back. Missed Anerican Horror Story.

I enjoyed Notorious. It was very fast paced and pretty soapy, but fun.

i dvr'd mcguyver on a whim... not expecting much. but i really liked it... i really don't think has much in common with the original series with the exception of the name. i will record-watch the series until CBS cancels it... cuz that's what happens when i watch new shows...

"Van Helsing" and "The Exorcist" were both pretty good. I was surprised. I'm not used to having anything to watch on Friday nights, but last night sure was full.

Cass_cat on the first show it did show the decision to call organization Phoenix Foundation. I think it is going to just be a light hearted show to watch. Something different then all the reality TV that I watch.

We just started watching our recording of MacGyver. I'd rather have a root canal. It is so mundane, trite and predictable that it is painful to watch. Very poorly written and the acting is sub par. Worst of all the new shows we've seen so far this week.

I watched Notorious on ABCondemand. LOVED IT! It is super fast paced and has some good characters. Lots of chemistry between the sexy lawyer and Piper's character.

I got a full 10 minutes into MacGyver before I had to quit. It felt like I'd already seen it a dozen times because it was all so predictable (even the smart alec quips every 2 seconds). I usually never like these unimaginative TV show remakes, but I gave this one a shot because I've never seen a single episode of the original McGyver. Somehow it still felt too familiar and predictable.

I watched the first ep of Rush Hour last season but wasn't thrilled so I quit it...I wasn't surprised when it was canceled.

I liked the Lethal Weapon movies, but this series, even though I like the actors, still felt like a cheap remake of one of the movies...I expect a whole season of one partner taking predictably crazy risks and almost being killed every five minutes while the other whines and carries on about how close he is to retirement, blah blah blah...same old, same old.

I've come to the conclusion all these movie/tv remakes are targeting millennials who never saw the original movies. Seeing shows based on shows I've seen gets pretty boring. Oh yeah, and besides, I'm old and jaded :-)

I didn't expect much from Notorious because the promos looked way to soap opera-y to me, but I really liked it. It was fast moving and that pace kept me interested in the main characters who all had an interesting dynamic with one another. Love the news anchorwoman who's always tucked away with her boy toy somewhere! LOL I'm definitely giving this one a shot.

Didn't anybody else catch Van Helsing? Or The Exorcist? They both really were surprisingly good premieres.

florin... I think that's why I liked it, mcguyver, light-hearted action... That's why I liked rush hour. I do think it's weird that there's suddenly all these remakes of 80s shows-movies... Is anyone in Hollywood capable of an original thought?

Naja, Yeah, I caught (and liked) both of them...

Here is a show I just stumbled onto the other day. It premieres TONIGHT (10 pm 9/27) on SYFY. I don't think it got a lot of promotion...either that or I'm just becoming an expert at FF through the commercials and I missed the hype. :-)

Aftermath

"When the world as they know it starts coming to an end, the Copeland family must face terrifying supernatural creatures and unprecedented disasters, including massive storms, earthquakes, meteor impacts, plague and the rapid decline of civilization. Will they be able to make it through - and figure out how to stop it?"

There are photos and video clips at this link
http://www.syfy.com/aftermath
----

It centers around a family and the parents are played by James Tupper and Anne Heche (real life married couple who met when they were leads in "Men in Trees" several years back.)

I saw one trailer on TV and I found it at youtube to get this screen grab....which, even though I was already lured in by the doomsday meteors and flying beasts and crazy weather, this quick shot in the trailer is what cinched it for me!

aftermath
Rough looking soldier in a pink chiffon prom dress? This looks like an apocalypse with glamour!

I haven't checked the videos at the main link above....after seeing this trailer I decided I just want to be surprised by the rest!

Don't forget - It starts TONIGHT!

Well, I enjoyed Aftermath okay....although it didn't have the quirkiness that the tough guy in the pink prom dress implied it would.

Lots of bizarre and seemingly unconnected apocalyptic type madness that could carry the plots of several different shows, but this one has 'em all! It's the disaster/end of the world genre gone crazy, but I think I like the bloody mouth insanity plague the most.
