And he got really excited when the androids came on the stage too. So cute.

I would never have guessed in a million years the Mad Max would win so much tonight. And of course it's one of only the two best picture movies I chose not to watch

Does anyone know what the movie Carol is about? I hadn't heard of it until tonight.

Hateful Eight was actually my favorite movie of the year, so I am glad it won at least one award, even if it was for musical score. LOL

Thought Chris Rock had a great opening. The rest has been very lacklustre. In past years, if they went out into the audience, it would be packed with stars. This year, Rock goes into the audience and there were so few recognizable faces. Or maybe they chose to not show many? Maybe it's too late after so many other award shows? I don't know. I just found it lacking and it was't the fault of the host.

Wow, I didn't realize this was Leo's first Oscar! He has been in so many high profile movies I figured he had already won at least one. Congrats to him for best actor!

Alright Leo! Love that he jumped straight up on stage in 2 seconds. Love that the audience stood up for him. Would have loved to see Matt win but totally understand.

Bleh to best picture. "Spotlight" was ok, but it would have been my last choice of the 6 of 8 I actually watched.

Oh well, the whole night was worth it just seeing Brie Larson win. I have found her such a fascinating actress ever since she used to be on Showtime's "United States of Tara".

Was the Spotlight win unexpected? It sort of felt that way.

Dipo, the predictions I have read over the past couple weeks mostly picked The Revenant for the win, with Spotlight as a possible spoiler. So it wasn't a total shock.

BTW, DH and I both agreed tonight that we enjoyed The Revenant at least 10x more than Spotlight.

I just read online that Brie is the youngest Best Actress winner... 26 years, 150 days. I think I first saw her in the 21 Jump Street movie. She's done well!

I expected Spotlight to win..which is why I watched it prior to watching the actual oscars...and to me, it lived up to all my expectations. Also glad Rylance won for bridge of spies...he made the character so empathic...

Lady gaga definitely is winning new fans...the Super Bowl a few weeks ago, now tonight, and even last year with the sound of music tribute...

Dipo, I meant to answer you before that Carol is about an affair between a younger and older woman set in the 50's (I think). That's the broad synopsis. I haven't seen it.

I decided after seeing all of the Mad Max clips to first visit the local pot shop (legal here in WA) if I do choose to watch it. Very trippy!

I thought Spotlight was riveting and was glad it won best picture. It's won some awards including the Goldeb Globes.

Hardly anybody clapped for her. She is always on FOX news insulting the black community. They love her on FOX.

No need to be embarrassed for her. She deserved that reaction.
