Oops. I misspoke...it wasn't "swirly eyes"...it was "spiral eyes". :-)

I also loved "Man Seeking Woman" like I had posted way above.

The way I see the show is they are taking what is normally "figurative" and making it "literal", and just exaggerating other things.

For example "He was haunted by his ex girlfriend", "His date was a troll", and the whole control room monitoring the text messages....LOL

This show is fantastic.

Has anybody caught "Fresh Off The Boat"?

I watched the first 2 eps and I won't be surprised if it's mysteriously pulled from the schedule. I think it's awful.

I liked Fresh Off the Boat enough to give it another chance. It's based on chef Eddie Huang's memoir of growing up back in the 1990's after he family moves to Florida.

I think it takes a fresh look at how hard it can be to move somewhere completely foreign and how a family works to make adjustments in their new life. Love the mom, dad and oldest kid!

I wasn't impressed by Fresh Off the Boat either. There's not much on on Tuesday nights though.

Another sci-fi series is coming up "Ascension". Don't know what network in the US but here in Canada is shown at CBC tonight at 9 pm (mountain time).

I'll give Fresh Off The Boat a couple of more chances. It was OK. I've worked for ppl as tight as that mom.

Spunky, that aired in the US before Christmas, so watch out for spoilers, I think there's talk about it in the Scifi thread. It mostly got quite bad reviews, but it is relatively short.

Kitt, I realized it was not a new series, I guess CBC picked this very bad one, won't be watching it.

I just watched the premiere of "Schitt's Creek" and I thought it was really funny. I see so much potential for hilarious situations.

It doesn't premiere until Wednesday on POP channel, but the premiere is already in on-demand.

Naja, you seem to know a lot about On Demand stuff... is there any way of finding out which shows will be On Demand and which won't? I have a few clashes this year but don't know which show not to tape.

Kitt, I don't know how to find out if it will be on-demand before it is already in there.

That's my issue too, once a series has started then I can tell, but until the premieres I can't. I guess I will just leave out one that's on hulu, and then if it doesn't appear on demand at least I can watch it there! Thanks :-)

When I find a premiere in there early before it is on TV, on comcast I do a search for it under "search TV and on-demand". So when I see something early in on-demand, it's because I went looking for it just in case it was already there.

It's already into its 5th episode, but I am really finding the show "The Story Behind" on POP channel very well done. It's the story behind the top hit shows. They do a much better job than those other channels do, like BIO and E!.

Last night's ep was "Will & Grace", and all the eps get rerun a lot. Give it a shot :-)

Thanks, Naja. I'll look into The Story Behind. It sounds good.

I saw and enjoyed the first episode of Schitt's Creek as well. I love Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy, so that helps. lol

I know. Just her physical movements and what she can do with one look crack me up.

I've seen that James Franco is going to be starring in a mini-series on Hulu in Stephen King's "11/22/63". Not many details though. Anyone know when, if it will be free online? Anything? The book was very good.

Heads up

The new show on ABC called "Repeat After Me" starts tonight.

It's a reality show based on the bit they do on the Ellen Show.

Shoot. Didn't realize it was tonight. Wanted to watch. Now set to record next week. A little surprised it's on ABC because Ellen's show is on NBC.

Re Schitts Creek, very juvenile of me but very time they say the mayors name Roland Schitt, I have a good laugh. The episode with the town sign was a hoot. I'm not sure how many eps have made their way to US TV, but it started airing in Canada about 6 weeks ago. There is a good one with Catherine OHara teaching acting to a bunch of kids and her in a wine ad.

First season of State of Affairs ended and I can't wait for the second one to start. This series amazes me, finally some dirt is not put under the rug as in other shows but displayed as it should.

I notice the American version of Secrets and Lies premieres tonight on ABC. I watched the original Australian version a while back on Netflix. I liked that version, but had some issues with it. If they tighten things up, this American version could be good.

I'm worried we are becoming over-saturated with series that start out with a dead child though.
