Okay, so I gave up on Revenge last week and now I'm giving up on The Good Wife now that Alicia says she is going to run for the State's AG. It's too bad because I really did like this show, but now the story line is getting ridiculous. I agree, Spunky, enough with the case about Carey.

I'm still enjoying The Good Wife. Always fun to see where the writers are taking the story line.

Oh how I enjoyed this latest episode! Finally Alicia may realize that this campaign is not what she really needs, would she want to put herself through that torch and not only herself but her family as well??? I'd be careful about that, sure the campaign manager might be cute but that's a crazy thing she's doing with that campaign.
For someone who is so 'cerebral' she sure fell easily into that trap... and the set up... duh? You just come out of a bar and drive home and not even expect anyone to take notice??? And the fact that the online climbing funds are coming from someone who could just buy her should really shake her into some sense... oh dear! who needs that?

If I were Alicia and had that crazy family I would think twice about running and with the Bishop money backing her now I would definitely not run. That is just trouble.

Lazylu, exactly my feeling... I know she has some pride and wants to prove them all wrong because she is sure of her integrity and that alone could be the best reason to vote for her (but also it was wrong to make her believe she would have the win in the bag, that gave her more confidence to go ahead) but now that she sees all the 'dirty' game the opposition is playing should really make her stop and think! Or maybe this will be the time when she finally sees how hard it must have been for her husband to survive in politics.

I found it funny that she was told of things in her own family she didn't even know about, invasion of privacy should really shake her into some sense, if not for herself at least to respect the privacy of her brother (he did good to walk out on her), her mother, but she's funny! and especially her children. She should really review her priorities.

I understand why he walked out on her, but she was only trying to warn him that he was playing with fire. A porn star boyfriend that doesn't use protection, wow that is asking for trouble. Her mother is nuts, but that was funny about the woman with the terrible kid.

Lordy, how does anyone run for office? Just how long has her family been watched to even see/know all that stuff? I would be questioning that above all and finding out who the hell has been doing it. I would guess Castro, but sounds like it was going on long before there was even a hint she might run for office.

And after hearing all this stuff, Alicia still thinks it's a good idea to run? What is she thinking?? Plus, she will never get rid of Bishop. Why can a lawyer not drop a client. I can see it if they have a case before the court at the moment, but they don't, do they?

Just don't like the idea of this whole story line.

I think the they will discover that Castro has some skeletons that rival or surpass those of Alicia. Castro is a slime ball and I think it was his constantly goading her (plus the knowledge that the polls show she would beat him) that nudged her over the line and made her decide to run in the first place.

Looks to me like Bishop thinks he's buying himself a states attorney by starting that PAC to raise funds for her...I don't think he realizes that Alicia Florrick is not the type of person to feel like she owes him favors in return.

I'm not really clear if the money the PAC is generating is actually coming from legitimate voters or if Bishop is also channeling money to it. Either way, if his name is found to be connected to it in any way at all, it will be bad for Alicia. Still, with "The Good Wife" being what it is, Alicia will ultimately be okay.

Great show with great writing.

One of the best shows on TV. The writers keep us guessing and I'm thinking over half of the time our guesses are wrong. :-)

That part is B.S. pjlover. A lawyer can drop a client if they want. The only time the court would be loathe to grant such an Order would be if the trial was weeks away and had been continued multiple times. Back when I was in litigation, I frequently saw plaintiff attorneys requesting that they be removed as counsel. If it was early in the litigation, the court would grant it. If it was years into the litigation and the case had been continued multiple times at the plaintiff's request, I have seen where the court would not grant an Order allowing the attorney to withdraw.

The whole "Bishop" storyline stretches the imagination.

I missed having a case to settle this time out. That's part of the shows enjoyment for me.

Oooooh....that creates a great opportunity for them to do an interesting and/or dramatic story arc for Kalinda's departure.

So is The Good Wife now a dramedy? I wish writers would decide. I don't like mixed or drama one week and comedy the next. I am getting tired of that.

The Good Wife has always been a drama with a dash of comedy. Some weeks have a little more than a dash, but whenever Elsbeth is on, there is humor.

I was glad to see the quirky lawyer back, even as the opposition, she is so funny!

I knew that sooner or later the producers would have found a way to move Alicia's office back to Diana's building with that lease contract... LOL. I don't mind them being near to the rivals, since they're a bit funny to watch, always bickering, I think Diana will manage to move back but will have to put up with them... I don't mind that.

It was funny to see the Russian hacker jam their computers for ransom but Kalinda saving the day thanks to her lesbian friend from the FBI, well, that was a stretch, there are simpler ways to solve hacking problems, but the show needed some fun and that was fun for me.

So, she got sponsored and is now running... what was she thinking?? I hope something really screwy will happen to make her give up. I don't like her becoming like her husband... because in the end she will have no choice but change!

Yes, Elsbeth is good for some comedy relief. But comedy in the show can be more than that. I wish TPTB would make up their minds. The dramedy makes me lose interest.

Definitely it is getting too much of a comedy, Elsbeth may be funny but they're overdoing it a bit now. The relentless persecution of Carey is getting too idiotic but the return to their old office was nice with Alicia sitting on Will's chair and remembering.

The whole religion thing just because she's campaigning is getting too ridiculous as well, doesn't she realize what this is doing to her identity? She seems to be doing all the things that go against of what she is, her daughter may feel something wrong with this and is not entirely happy with what her mother is trying to do and would rather see her mother strong in her own beliefs. The fact that she is pretending is actually an insult to the whole faith and religion thing that the daughter is blindly following and may make her wonder why she is feeling a bit confused.

But I hope they will move on and forget about this religion thing, it's just too annoying seeing Alicia not having the guts to state she's atheist.

I wonder if they have new writers. Enough with the Carey storyline. Elsbeth has been funny in the past, the last two episodes she wasn't funny, just crazy. IMO

I knew the prosecutor would quit Castro, about time, but they just won't quit with the Carey situation and how easily dismissed was the involvement of the State's Attorney, huh? I can only guess that the recording would be used as a testimony, although I don't know if recording is acceptable evidence, and just hope he still has the recording or was left in Castro's office. Kalinda would guess he was recording the testimony before the witness was killed. They need to kill this off... it's going on for too long.

Elsbeth has always been quirky. Perhaps she is mentally ill, and the illness is getting worse. I'm not sure what the hallucinations and memory lapses are all about.

I think Elsbeth is great fun. When she's on, I'm reminded of Boston Legal, the best courtroom/lawyer show ever.

Disappointed in Peter and her "friend". Time to dump him Alicia. Also Kalinda make up your mind. lol Carey does makes some dump decisions sometimes.
