Bwahahahaha!!! There was a huge and devastating hurricane in Galveston in 1905 that wiped out most of the city, but it was the yellow fever that followed because of lack of sanitation that killed the people. Oh well.

I have recently had TWO vintage sewing machines crap out on me because of failure of the feed dogs caused by too much sewing through too many layers of fabric making masks during the pandemic. My latest vintage heavy duty sewing machine has extremely robust feed dogs. The feed dogs move the fabric forward or backward.
