ick.............

I'm sorry, but that's just taking it too far! I would understand if "old lady" bathing suits were allowed.

It wouldn't have been my choice, but I can see the wisdom in it.

There is nothing wrong with being modest and covering your body. Honestly, I wish more people would cover up more of their bodies.

Where I live it's so hot. I'd hate to be so covered up at the beach or pool.

Panda, why would one need the "slimmer swimwear" line? You could be very "fluffy" under those suits & nobody would know.

Twiggy, I live in Florida....so I understand hot, but I still don't think it necessary to walk around with underwear showing, the cracks of behinds showing, breasts hanging out....modesty doesn't necessarily mean one has to be covered from neck to toes...although some could use that much covering <g>

Texannie.. they are specialized sun suits that have a sun protection in them.. my kids had the shirts when they were younger.. it is to try to stop the ravages of sun damage and melanoma's.. I just had a bcc cut out of my nose due to being in the sun so much when I was growing up..

We were recently at a pool in Orlando (Disney) and there were children in those swim sun suits (I didn't know what they were called). They look like divers suits. The girls were covered from neck to knees. They also had swim type hats that covered their heads and necks. That was a first for me. My daughter being able to do so wore a two piece. She wears lots of sunscreen. I stayed in the shade. I'm not one to go bake out there!

I know they are for sun protection, but they also address the point about cute and not having to have everything hanging out.

I have never heard about sun protection swimsuits before, but they certainly are a good idea! Have you heard about Thunderwear for pets who have storm issues?

They make little girl bathing suits so skimpy, even for toddlers. Why put sexy on them when cute and modest is still ok and they are less likely to argue?!?!

My kids wear the swim shirts everytime they go to the pool. In fact, I wish I had one to cover my fat rolls. do they make them in adult?

Thunder shirts are sort of like swaddling - I think - which helps nervous pets feel more secure during storms. I have never had a pet with storm issues so have no personal experience, but have a friend who swears this works with her dog -

OMG isn't he just the cutest.

Sorry to get off topic, but Texannie if you have a dog with issues during thunderstorms, there is something called "Rescue Remedy" that you can buy at the health food store. You can put a few drops right into your dogs mouth or just on the inside at the top of their ear and rub it in. I had a mastiff who was very frightened and this really helped her.
