I seem to remember a couple of other times this phenomenom happened, Billy Ray Cyrus for example. He clearly wasn't a great dancer but made it to the semifinals where the judges scored him very low to make sure he wouldn't advance.

I don't understand why people continue to vote for contestants who are clearly not performing as well? I guess they don't care about the dancing.

It's the power of Bachelor Nation, Jimmer. Joe got sent home night one on The Bachelorette, and Bachelor Nation fell in love with him. He was cute, but he doesn't deserve to be there still. I'm mad that DeMarcus went home before him.

Alan is So, So, So cute I'm not surprised she would fall for him. They spend so much time together dancing and it's such a physical thing. I can totally see love blooming. But like any other relationship what seems so good at first, I doubt it will last.
And yes, so disappointed to see the football player go home before the Bachelor. Terrible!

I agree with you, Brenda, about the potential for romance on this show. They are usually both attractive people, they spend a lot of time together rehearsing and there always seems to be a closeness and at least friendship that develops between them. It would not be the first time a romance has blossomed, but I don't expect it to last. I think it's more of a crush. They're both single. They should enjoy while it lasts. We know from past experience that these showmances rarely go the distance.

Doesn't this happen all the time...in workplace romances, weekend retreats, Survivor, Mr. and Mrs. Smith (LOL) - you put attractive people together for long hours at a time and sparks can fly - but also in real life when reality comes back, schedules become divided and other people move back into the mix people move apart. I think it's just simple human nature. Fun while it lasts but hopefully nobody suffers long-term consequences.

As a member of Bachelor Nation I can say that I have not voted for him even once. UGH! He needs to go. He's improved and that's been okay to see, but enough. I've voted for Milo.
