Yes, Rupertbear. The votes are usually from fans. For me, I have been a 'fan' of someone going in, but then their attitude changes my opinion (most times for me more important than their dancing). Jerry Springer is a great example. I couldn't stand anything he stood for before the show, but during the show he was so endearing that he won me over.
For others it will always be who is technically the best dancer.
That's what makes it fun each year!

Thanks Heckagirl & Texannie. Things have changed so much, since I watched a full season. I'd watch a bit here and there over the years but I'd sort of lost interest.
Things have really improved in the intervening years. More behind the scenes time, more spent on costumes and sets, interesting things like Disney Night. They've made a lot of improvements.

I don't dislike him, I just don't think he does enough dancing partner, and that's the whole point. Doug did more partner dancing than he did, bless his heart. So agree to disagree?

The dance numbers are getting way too over produced. I like Ginger, but I didn't think there was much dancing in that number.

Wanya, Antonio and Nyle were my favs tonight. Nyle is amazing and all I can say is "WOW"!!!! 
I'm not unhappy to see Marla gone. Bye-bye!

Threw ALL my votes this week to Jodie. She's far better than Doug, although she had a little trouble last night hearing the music. I think she's not getting the votes because of who her partner is. I've not liked Keo at all the past seasons but he seems much more encouraging and supportive this year.
LOVED Wayna's Lion King, except for that burble at the beginning that was a 10 dance.
I don't think Antonio is "all that". His dance last night was good but I don't think it was a top dance.
Ginger was A dorable, Nyle seemed to be a bit "off" last night.
