Ooooh... I loved Tristan.

I enjoyed hearing stories from the pros tonight. I felt the scoring was a bit off, but oh well. I would of rather had Gary leave.

I want to be Bindi when I grow up. I just love her.

Very happy to see the news upthread about Kym and Robert.

Well, they scored Gary too high the first night which probably doomed Victor..

I don't know who Tristan is, but I thought Gleb (who danced with Lisa Vanderpump) was pretty damned H.O.T.

I have heard some of them before, Maks and Val, Karina, Derek, Julianne and Mark, but I enjoyed hearing more and about all the dancers.

I bet it burned Keo that he didn't get to share his story (and who knows, it might have made him more human if it was done well and not arrogant.. as in King of..)

Ditto on the love for the pros stories. What I learned is that all children from Utah become professional dancers, and half of all professional dancers are from the former Soviet bloc.

Scary moment for Kim Z- she had a "mini-stroke" this morning and has to be rushed to the hospital..

I'm not sure I care for Tamar very much. She seems to be acting more and more like a pain in the a$$.

So the article says she hopes to return to DWTS.. I really don't know what is normal after a TIA.. should she be flying? Dancing hard?

No idea. When my mom had a TIA she was older and not on DWTS, so I don't remember if she had newrestrictions.

As for Tamar, yeah, real full of herself.. not impressed by the way she is treating her partner.

she also is thinking there is a connection to Botox and the "event" (mini - stroke) but a doctor commenting on a news/magazine shows said there is no connection between botox and stroke

I would think that Kim doesn't want to be a "quitter" and wants to try and complete what she started, but I agree, she will have to listen to medical advice before she gets on a plane! And DWTS will not make an exception for her, she either is in LA for the taping of the show, or she has to resign.

Quote from link above:
TIA stands for Transient Ischemic Attack, which means a loss of blood flow (brain, spinal cord or retinal) without tissue death. Symptoms do not typically last long, but do include the numbness and loss of speech that Zolciak writes about, in addition to loss of coordination and dizziness.

I'd think TPTB won't want her back on the show for legal reasons for example insurance. I think it would be foolhardy healthwise on her part to continue right now. Bring her back in another season once she's proved her health can stand up to it (no more strokes in the meantime).

Well, from reading online at webmd and elsewhere, of course they have to check arteries for blockage, and possibly do surgery, or in some cases go on blood thinners or even warfarin.

But if she was otherwise cleared, on suggestion is exercise, though maybe not the amount required for this show.

I have no idea if she has family history, or diabetes, hypertension, is a smoker, has high cholesterol, etc.

Could be this would be a lifesaver for her.

I don't see anything about flying and it could be a coincidence that this happened just after a flight.. I just wondered if she threw a small clot..

Good points Sea, and she is a smoker, she's not proud of it, has mentioned trying to quit, they haven't shown her smoking in awhile tho...

Hopefully she has quit, but quitting doesn't erase the effect that are already in the body.

Hopefully this will be the impetus for a major workup to see what all is going on with her so she can deal with it. No joke..

I'm sure someone can google for reference, but I read that Kim had heart surgery, they credit the TIA, for, if not for that, they would not have found the heart condition that required surgery, so, she is extremely lucky, and will not be on Dancing With the Stars Monday

I'm at my mil and on an iPad with slow wifi

Well that is scary.. but really important for her that they found this and she could have surgery..

Wow, I had no idea she was only 37!

I read or saw on a magazine show that Kim was determined to dance Monday (before heart surgery) so Tony was dancing a routine in her room so she would be familiar with the steps ( it was a sweet report, no pressure on Tony or Kim, probably taking her mind off of being in the hospital)

Tony is a special person!

It did seem sweet.. she took a picture of him from her bed.. her husband seemed sweet too.. from just a picture. I know nothing about her.. she seemed not to realize how severe this is.. there isn't "just" a TIA. That simply isn't a good thing. But really wonderful that they didn't miss whatever her heart problem was and were able to operate. If they had not and had sent her back to dance, yikes! It is a crappy thing if she has to drop out but at least she had a much better week before it happened.
