Heard this yesterday but didnt want to comment until it was confirmed. I dont hate people who make mistakes. I hate the way some people condemn others while holding themselves up as an example of living the "godly" life. Gays being given their full rights is not an attack on marriage. Its people like this.

The link in the article is to Michelle's blog on the Duggar's website which is legit.

(So in this case US is legit. Not sure that is always the case for US. ;) )

The Duggars including the adult married children have gladly accepted money for being in the public eye on tv and magazines. They chose to be in the public eye. They want to be talked about. Like other celebrities, they don't get to pick and choose what is said about them. They were naive to think they wouldn't get picked apart for their hypocrisy.

I hope JB and Michelle will reevaluate some of their detrimental parenting techniques. Especially because they didn't work in the case of their eldest.

Well, there you have it, on the Duggar's official website. No grand conspiracy to make up data implicating him. He's guilty.

And I don't see them being kind to the loved ones of the family they victimised, and remember their victims didn't even do anything wrong.

Well, that doesn't mean we have to follow suit, does it? :-)

I have no problem with calling someone who is public out on their hypocrisy. The problem that I have is that it goes far beyond calling them out on their hypocrisy, in these days of social media bullying. That's what I find troubling. And it is a kind of piling on, and worse. (not speaking about anyone here!)

I don't want to be part of that. I find it disgraceful.

To me there is a difference. Criticism but not demonization.

Thank you, Karuuna. That's what I've been trying to say. It's time to let them work this out amongst themselves.

"Josh Duggar no longer works for the Family Values Council".

But he still hold the same hateful ideas as that Hate Group espouses. Shameful.

The blame only stands full center on Josh, and Josh's parents. They sought the lime lite, they vocally and vehemently fought against the rights of other people, people that don't think like them. They made money from talking against others having equal rights as they do.

The Duggar children should run from their obscene upbringing. But that is unlikely. So we have another generation of hate-filled Duggars.

But lets put the blame where is belongs....Josh is to blame not the public outrage. Not the public Schadenfreude.

Sorry, Lilfair, but I respectfully disagree.

Public criticism is one thing. But we all know these days it is much much more than criticism. It's hateful and vile postings all over the internet. It's viciousness directed at them and their entire family. It's downright ugly, mean, and disgusting at times. It crosses way over outrage and into evil.

There's no way anyone will ever convince me that a bad reaction is CAUSED by the perpetrator. It's not. It's still your OWN choice how YOU behave, regardless of how someone else did.

So, there is blame to go around. yes.

Perhaps it would be helpful to distinguish between people who find this very public, self made celebrity family to be hypocritical and who thus criticism them, and those who are being ugly in their over the top response to them. We are all not in one class and there is a wide spectrum of resulting backlash. I don't think we should all be lumped into one ugly group of respondents.

Ok how's this then....God knows that Josh Duggar is indeed a hypocrite. So it stands to reason that it’s God’s will that the world knows this as well. The impact of the middle finger of the hand of God raised in Duggar’s face ;) Again, God knows. ;) lol

In my eyes the Duggars way of life is hateful and vile....so we will agree to disagree on the latest hypocrisy of this family.

Lil, I agree with you.
Karuuna, having a bad reaction to something that is heinous is human nature. If the Duggars can speak out and have bad reactions against the LGBT, then the public that have bad reactions to them can also speak out. No one is blaming Anna nor her children. It falls on Josh and his parents who raised their children in a cult atmosphere and never sought the right counsel when they first found out about their son.
And like Lilfair said, there is another generation of hate-filled Duggars.
I guess their way of counseling Josh when he was 14 didn't work. Building houses didn't change him. I have no pity for JB, Michele or Josh.
The public is entitled to feel what they want and to talk about this if they choose to. We live in a free world.

I have a feeling that Josh Duggar's "sins" are only the tip of the iceberg in this family.

When you are raised with an iron fist and being constantly held down, it's only a matter of time before a certain "rebelliousness", shall we say, evinces itself.

I sincerely hope that the Duggars re-evaluate their "parenting" skills but that is highly doubtful.

Lumping everyone who criticizes this latest revelation by Josh Duggar into one group is like saying that all Christians are hateful because some preach hate against gays or minorities.

I am not criticizing him for what he has done...thats between he and his wife. I do feel free to criticize his hypocrisy and the fact that neither he nor his parents understand the effect that their public preaching has had and why it is so wrong.

I hope no one is blaming Anna. Sadly, their fellow cult members may be doing just that. They may decide it is her fault for not taking care of his needs.

In that cult, the females are responsible for keeping the males pure. That is why, in the earlier shows/specials, you see the boys walking looking at the ground while their sisters say "Nike". That is their code word for the males to look away because too much skin is being shown by a female. That is why the girls have smart phones and the males including Jim Bob do not.

It may help some to realize that the Duggars are not only following the teachings of the bible, they are also, and possibly even moreso, following the teachings and bible interpretations of Bill Gothard, their cult leader. Much of his stuff is not actually in the bible.

1. stupid people have always been on the internet, and I don't know how to get rid of them, but there are always going to be hate filled posts - like the one I just read about this whole scandal being the fault of the democrats because this guy (or maybe a dog or cat pretending to be a person) believes that liberals made this site that tempted Josh.
2. This is news because when this happened Josh was a member of the family research council which can be noted by the date it occurred or by the Washington address. Yes, they fired him, but he is not their only sinner, they need to clean house before they preach anymore.

3. I will get off the Duggar's when they stop trying to make money from their hateful beliefs by getting back on TV which they may or may not be trying to do. And when they vow to get out of politics. Which we will see how they do supporting their hateful candidates again this year. If you are in politics, than your belief system is fair game, I compare this to the gay congressmen who vote against gay rights and say hateful things.
I will not wish them to burn in hell because I don't believe in hell. I will not say arrest Josh because there is nothing to arrest him for, he has not broken any law, just moral hypocrisy, that is all. I won't even tell him to see a therapist. not everyone can trust one, he can have his affairs, I don't care, but don't talk about attacks on marriage by other people when you have the biggest attack on marriage and family.

I will no longer be the bigger person, when I have to hear about other people being drawn through the dirt by people who supported Josh. seriously, it is a political and not a social fight. The group has to acknowledge that anyone can sin, and that they are not saints and they have to stop telling people how to live.

When Josh's molestation came out and the girls said Josh was just "curious" (ahem horny). I thought heck all teenagers are "curious". Boys usually find dad's play boys, look at porn on line, or find an "easy" girl. But that was never allowed. He lived in a world of side hugs. In a way I think that family thought keeping it all in the family was a better outlet for curiosity.

Going on AM website who the heck cares...I don't care unless you are publically putting others down for their morality....not only others but an entire segment of the human race. If anyone deserved the scrutiny it's the Duggars. Yes Josh's young children will pay a price at the hands of their father. Very sad.

yes, and we have to choose against our human nature all the time. Like not having multiple sex partners.

And again, I'm not saying people shouldn't speak out. I'm just saying that IN speaking out, there is a line that I don't think should be crossed. And in these days of internet craziness, that line is often crossed.

1. stupid people have always been on the internet,

We have *always* had the internet.

The internet, with its relative anonymity has given rise to a whole new class of behavior - and that is deviant in itself. That is the dehumanization of anyone who's ever done something wrong. From making a bad joke, to having extramarital affairs. There seems to be no measured response... just a horrific kind of crowd bullying campaign.

Oh Oh Josh now says he's addicted to internet porn. But god forgives that too and he's a ok but those gays still are on the outs with Josh's god. LOL

BTW, I don't need the internet to say the Duggar's are filled with hate and all sorts of creepiness. If there were no internet I'd be talking across the fence about this, and in line at the grocery store, at my book clubs, at my PTA meeting, luch with my friends... But I live in 2015 and the internet is a thing, ya know.
