Naja, you have to read the blog Sadiesmom posted the link to. but it will be hard to forget, I can't. Those poor girls, and their hair...
Montel Williams called out Josh and the group he worked for because of the hypocrisy saying that the LGBT was a danger to kids. Montel is now trending on twitter.
oh and Mama June is calling out TLC - they cancelled her show, they have to cancel The Duggars, and after reading the blog that Sadiesmom linked to, I have to agree

Thanks Naja, that article did talk about the "online college" they reference, I wondered about it, but not enough to dig around. and I thought one of the girls did talk about wanting to be a nurse, but no longer. its just sad

Michelle Duggar recorded robo calls warning people of the danger that the LGBT was to their children. The hypocrisy makes me want to puke. And I feel so sorry for those girls...victimized by their brother, victimized by their parents, victimized by their church and now being victimized again in the media, by both the Duggar supporters and their opponents. The whole thing is horrendous.

and TMZ is now reporting that TLC has pulled the show from the lineup and General Mills won't sponsor it.

No one knows for sure, but since Mama June called TLC out I would think it's cancelled for a long time, and I think there is a lot of backlash coming out too - and I would imagine that would be the last thing Jim Bob would want - but I also believe we'll still hear about them through their Instagram and social media sites
I mean, we do still hear about Mama June! ;)

Wonder now that the "new husbands" know what happened to their brides at the hand of Josh....wonder if they will have any different sort of relationship with their BIL. Or since their god forgives molesters they will too.

I wonder what their contract is like with TLC and of course not being on TV will influence their exposure and marketability in other areas. They are likely in for a massive pay cut.

I always thought that Michelle was very sweet yet that was tempered with knowing that the family values were not consistent with my beliefs . In addition that were just on TV toooo much for my liking so I opted to use the remote control. I saw the Duggars as I turned channels or on commercials only .
All this being said they were a little too good to be true and I did not get all the covers on People magazine.
So why did TLC not know what Oprah knew ? And Mama June !!
For the love of Pete she had her child around a convicted molestor who ( if I recall correctly) went to jail for molesting another Child that belonged to her. Pot meet kettle.....

TLC didn't waste time, except that it has been over a decade.
The worst thing I just read was that Jim-Bob knew about the molestation for a year before anything was done..
I'm betting those girls are being made to feel guilty for all of this...

Well you also have to think... children are curious about their bodies... but it usually happens about age 5 ("Playing Doctor") ... and not to defend in any way about what Josh did... but, I don't know how much "sex ed" the curriculum that they were taught was included... if he was 14 he was probably really curious and his hormones were raging ... if Jim Bob and Michelle didn't address it (the birds and bees talk) then it is no wonder Josh went exploring.. and Jim Bob probably took him to report it to the police to put the "fear of God" into Josh... So I don't blame Josh but Jim Bob and Michelle .. but especially Jim Bob - he's still the horndog of the family and always telling and showing his kids what they can't do... The famous - You are courting now but you can't do this....
I'm glad the show was cancelled .. but I wish the girls had received some counseling... Real counseling.
And that explains all the "side-hugs" and other seemingly prudish behavior.

Jim Bob took him, after a year, to a family friend in law enforcement (who later turned out to own child porn) who decided not to pursue it and by the time Oprah's staff reported it it was beyond the statute of limitations in Ark (three whole years!).
I hope the girls DO receive some real counselling.. for cult like abuse as well as the childhood molestation where clearly no one protected them. (those temptresses!)

I'm glad their show was cancelled.....to pay this family for their sick beliefs, their sick opinions, their cult-like ways of raising their children and trying to make the public think they are wonderful truly sickens me!!!! The fact that TLC never knew about this is also absurd. If they now kept the show airing they would be part of this travesty of a family!
The worst part is that now the Duggar girls know that the public knows what happened to them. Very sad.

They are really catching hell on the cable news programs today. A lot of it is because of their hypocrisy about LGBT people. They actually showed Josh talking about how women and children need to be protected from them.

But, Jim Bob didn't report it to the police until after a year.... makes me think that it must have continued a while before Jim Bob decided to take him to the police to put the "fear of God" in him. Otherwise, you would take him to the police closer to the time it was first reported. There has to be a reason why, that after a year, they decided to finally go to the police.

Oh this is getting deeper and deeper. There is speculation that the "family friend" that Josh was sent to for "counseling" and hard labor was Bill Got hard, a fellow Quiverfull who has been accused of sexual abuse of young women himself (not children but late teens/early twenties). And even more interesting...the hard labor was done on a building that was donated to Gothard's organization by Hobby Lobby. I cant post the link from my phone but if you google the mans name you will find lots of info about him.

maybe i am a horrible person, but it would never occur to me to turn my child into the authorities. I would do everything possible to get counseling for all parties involved (with the complete knowledge that the therapist is obligated to report to authorities) but i don't think I could turn in my child.
