There are reports (from Reality Steve) that there has been a serious issue with BIP and production has stopped. No further details yet.

This whole thing sounds ridiculous. Once again, read from the bottom up.:

My source was told a producer filed a "third party complaint," to clarify my above comment.

I will report more as I have it.

DeMario and Corinne were both shown footage of their hookup during their interviews in the days following their rendezvous.

According to my source, this producer went on to sue the production for misconduct over what she witnessed between DeMario and Corinne.

The following day, Monday, a producer who witnessed this hook-up did not show up to work.

From this point forward, things turned into "soft core porn." They did not have sex. But it was very raunchy.

Corinne came up to DeMario at the bar and kissed him. They proceeded to the pool, where they got naked.

On the first day of production, Sunday, DeMario and Corinne got extremely drunk, per my source.

I just spoke to a source who says he knows why "Bachelor in Paradise" was just cancelled. Here we go:

I'm unclear why two people having sex would cause a shutdown?

They have sex all over these reality shows.

If I'm reading this right from all the sources, the producer may have been concerned that Corrine was too drunk to consent to what happened, and filed the complaint out of concern for her. Also, production might have had a responsibility to intervene when they knew she was in no condition to consent.

Thanks Wilson.. yes, it is true that an inebriated woman can't give consent in most states.

They should have stopped them if she was that drunk.

Now the rumors are that Demario and Corrine were told by producers that one of the storylines for the season was going to be them hooking up, because they were "villains" on their seasons..

http://www.thedailybeast.com/pool-sex-shuts-down-bachelor-in-paradise-spin-off

(this whole thing stinks to high heaven- I won't be surprised if the show doesn't end up airing, though they have a little bit of time to recover if this situation gets cleared up fast- they're scheduled to air starting in August)

It's hardly unusual for people to get drunk and make out on these shows. And apparently neither Corrine nor Demario are upset and they have been in contact since the incident.

Is it possible this is all a publicity stunt?

Ah the cynical thinking. I was wondering the same thing but it seems pretty extreme.

I doubt it was- in that article it was mentioned that Demario.....um....er....failed to hold up his end of the bargain, so to speak, and I don't think he'd want that to get out...

Okay, but if he failed to "hold up his end of the bargain," where is the crime (especially if they have been in contact with each other)?

TMZ posted some new info, and it definitely looks like that the main issue is that the producer who filed the lawsuit was shadowing Corrine, had heard that she was drunk enough that she had no idea what was going on, told other producers they should intervene, and they kept filming anyway (the producer may or may not have seen what happened as it happened, but has not seen any footage)

After the lawsuit was filed, Corrine and Demario were kicked off the show, but Warner Brothers then decided to suspend production completely until they can figure things out.

I was wondering if he slipped something into her drink, or something like that.

It's getting serious now-

http://people.com/tv/bachelor-in-paradise-demario-jackson-sexual-encounter/

(and now they're starting to remove the names of those involved- I understand why, but the horse is out of the barn on this one...and I'm convinced the show is done at this point- no way they can come back from this. Will there be blowback on the main series is now the question..)

Considering they were in Mexico, I have to say I don't know what the law is there, concerning consent.

That said, it sounds like the show violated their own policies.

Karruna- usually when a US show films in another country, the contract states that they follow US laws (usually California's)- so for example an under-21 contestant can't drink alcohol, even though in the country they are filming in they might be of legal drinking age.

Now the rumor is that Corrine sued the producer who was shadowing her saying she should have stopped her (apparently she was so drunk she doesn't remember anything that happened the entire day), then the producer sued ABC.

I think it was always a fun show. I DON'T feel like a fool for recommending it. Though I certainly wasn't trying to get Sea to watch it.

Someone needs to put Corrine in a room with rubber walls so she doesn't hurt herself.
