'Survivor' Winner Earl Cole Celebrates in Hometown It's been almost two months since Survivor: Fiji announced its 14th sole Survivor and yet Earl Cole remains to be in a victorious mood. In fact, he'll be partying with the whole community in a free “Day of Celebration” tomorrow, August 4 in his hometown at the Kansas Speedway. Cole, who is also the first African-American make to win Survivor, has planned the event as part of his triumphant stint on Survivor, as well as to raise funds for his foundation. [...] Previously, Cole was diagnosed with Legg-Calve Perthes Disease in his left hip, a condition resulting to premature arthritis. This condition required him to spend his childhood years with a cast on his leg. At present, Cole is well and free of the disease treated by Dr. Marc Asher at the University of Kansas Hospital. Nevertheless, the recent Survivor winner remains to have ties to various hospitals, teaming up with him in his health fair and campaign. In line with this, a number of information booths and fund raising tables will be set up at the party to raise money for the Earl Cole Fund for Legg-Calve Perthes Disease.
