I don’t dislike Rizo either. He’s young, exuberant and enjoying playing the game. If he ends up getting taken down a peg due to his overconfidence, that’ll be fun to watch too.

I think both Dee and Cirie see Rizo as someone they can easily manipulate just by stroking his ego. I'm looking forward to the look on his face when they both backstab him. My complaint with Rizo is his need to tell the camera he will be a legend. Legends don't have to announce it. They win comps and they catch their own food. Rizo is too childish to even gather firewood.

I was disappointed in Charlie's inability to see past Rizo's comments. It surprised me in the same way Aubry surprised me with her reactions to Genevieve. Heck, it surprised me to hear Ozzy talk of trauma only to realize he was referring to his time on Survivor, lol. Yes, Seamonkey - alot of thin skins this time around. I'm waiting for Coach to be next on that list as he is still glowing in the aura of the male specimens surrounding him.

Heck, I'm annoyed by Christian but then I realize it's because we hear so much from a few and so little from others. I was actually hoping for an actual self-sustained survivor to win this season but it's pretty obvious that is not going to happen.

Has anyone noticed they don't talk about food or being hungry? Is it just me? Their biggest worry seems to be being cold. Sorry to see you go, Angelina, but props to you.

Next week, I'm hoping they have to earn their right to stay. I'm hoping for at least three to go home.

Kappy, ITA about Rizzo. Him telling us he is a legend just irritates me. I dont think he is socially awkward at all. I get that from Emily but not from him. He is overconfident and full of himself

eta: I'm sure the producers encourage that side of him in confessionals but you don't see Colby or Ozzy speaking that way about themselves and they are legends

Rizzo is young, cocky and will, I hope, be hoisted by his own petard.

I don't mind Rizo....I find him kind of amusing. I do wonder what Cirie sees in him tho.

I suspect there are lots of Cirie cameos of Cirie saying why she is aligning with whoever fits production's storyline. Cirie is a whole other legend of Survivor legends. She SURVIVES like nobody's business.

Oh, also, I love Cirie.

Years ago when someone was voted out, one of the survivors asked the woman who was voted out if she could have her jacket and the person voted out told her "no." Was that Angelina who asked for the jacket?

Yep, Angelina asked Natalie if she could have her jacket, Natalie made a face and left without giving it to her.

And that was after Natalie had pushed Nick to give her his jacket!

Thanks Kitt!!! I wasn't sure, but it was so random that I thought it had to be Angelina who asked for the jacket.

Read this (quite on bottom of this post) on another site. Makes me miss early survivor. There’s like no worries about (or screen time devoted to) shelters. No worries about food. No people losing too much weight or super faded clothing.

Does anyone here agree?

“Survivor isn't Survivor anymore. Watch early episodes. Look at the weight loss. These survivors aren't starving. They're being fed. They are healthy in challenges. We don't see them building shelters. It's not Survivor anymore.”

I agree, I am ok with them having food. I like the plotting and drama more than seeing them suffer

I think we don't see as much weight loss because they aren't there as long?

They used to give them rice at the start, they don't do that now.

It is true that we don't see them doing as much survival stuff.... they did show Ozzie catching fish, but not how they cooked it (that tribe doesn't have flint). They don't show as much shelter building, in fact some tribes don't seem to have a shelter at all?

I remember one of the early survivors where they had to jump off a cliff into water. It was super high. I wonder how dangerous that actually was. Anyone know which survivor that was?

All the comps seem super similar now.

Kar, the tribe with no flint still has fire because of Christian and the eyeglasses. I assume they just make a new fire each day in the same way

Pamy, I thought Christian used several pairs of glasses, including Cirie's but maybe I am remembering that wrong?

If it's bright sun, one pair of high prescription glasses should be enough.

He did use multiple glasses to start the fire. He talked about the concave of the lens in fire making.

It was one of those weird things I remembered because I’ve worn glasses my whole life. Pretty sure he wouldn’t have needed 2 pairs to start the fire if they used my coke bottle glasses.
