Tonight's episode is ominously titled "Hot Grim Reaper". What is a hot Grim Reaper?
Various definitions of "hot":
- high temperature
- marked by violence or fierceness or angry
- sexually excited or receptive, sexy
- of intense and immediate interest
- unusually lucky or favorable
- temporarily capable of unusual performance
That's only a few definitions. Who knew hot could be so complicated?

I guess they feel that they need these twists to keep fans interested and make the game exciting. However, I feel it takes the skill out of playing the game and introduces far too much luck for my preference. I’d much rather see a skillful player win than a lucky player win. I don’t want the show to be predictable, but it does need to make sense and seeing a player use his or her skill and resources to build to a predictable win can be very satisfying.

I’m done. Getting very bored with Survivor now. It all seems so predictable. Not many shocks/surprises like the old Survivor.

I hate these twists but Jeff loves his "new era" twists. He will never admit that the fans hate the journeys, reward advantages, twists, etc. etc.

It was Savannah about her going to the other tribe.
She was way more likeable when she was on the bottom once she was on top again she was less humble and super cocky

I'm just getting caught up on cbs dot com - and the first couple eps aren't available. Can anyone fill me in on where this "Uncle Jeff" thing originated?
Also - not a fan of the twist or Savannah.

Hahaha, Pamy, I just posted same sentiment in another thread.
Yeah, I am not liking all of these new "twists". They are NOT exciting. I HATED that only one of five people could be nominated in this episode, and then they threw in the further monkey wrench of letting NOT one of those five go to tribal and vote, but NOT be eligible to be voted out herself. What a loathsome twist. I guess they are featuring Savannah as a lovable villain. She is not, and it is painful to watch. She is no Parvati.
Sheesh, I hate to give up on Survivor after ALL THESE YEARS.

I’ve been watching this season but evidently not paying enough attention to know:
Is Savannah being awful to Sage or is Sage making it all up?
Could anyone enlighten me?

I think they’re both being awful to each other. They both seem to find the others some slight against themselves and blow it out of proportion.

I can't stand the "auntie" and "uncle" thing either. In normal life, it's fine. But in a reality show situation, it feels like pandering to me.

The "auntie" and "uncle" stuff bugged me at first but I recognize I'm old so maybe this is just normal for the younger generation. It's also common in other cultures so maybe it got adopted over time. No big deal.
Besides, Julie and Jeff *are* a different generation than most of the contestants these days. It would been really weird in earlier seasons!

Yep, agreed with all that has been said so far. Just as I was beginning to feel some empathy for Savannah, she goes right back to an almost gloaty type of personality.
Sad to see Alex go. Stopped rooting for red Sophie (with an 'e') so I am down to rooting for MC, Stephen and Rizzo. Yes, I am rooting for Rizzo because he's quirky and he owns it.

I was so disappointed when MC was voted out. She was my favorite. Do not like Rizzo at all and never have. He is too full of himself. I never cared for Savannah or Sage. They are doing very well playing the “mean girls”. I’m having a hard time with this season as it seems like there are more I dislike than like. I am also not a fan of all the “twists”.
